Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a difficulty with understanding and using words and sentences. But say 'DLD' that to most people and they look at you blankly. People with DLD are faced with that everyday. Teachers think they are 'lazy', employers may think they are 'forgetful.' And all because they've never heard of DLD.
That needs to change and you can be part of the change.
Things you can do:
1 learn about DLD: https://radld.org/about/dld/dld-fact-sheet/
2 put DLD day in your diary: October 16th
3 watch this video about tghis year's poster: https://youtu.be/f4UaB_PTNCo?si=pePeevNLaU7PLYnO
