Meet Rachel Sewell - NVT Practitioner

We're delighted to welcome Rachel to this year's festival!

Rachel is a New Vision Therapy (NVT) practitioner, offering a gentle, hands-on approach that helps release restrictions within the fascia that can negatively impact the nervous system.

You can visit Rachel at her stall throughout the day to learn more about how NVT supports wellbeing and nervous system regulation.

Had an awesome time yesterday at Wigan's Wellbeing Festival 😊

Was lovely to see Susie Blue Felts again and to also meet Temple candle by Crina for the 1st time. It was great being a stall neighbour with you 😁

Unfortunately, I totally forgot to take any pictures or videos 🤦‍♀️

Can't wait for the next one 🙌

I'll be there all weekend hosting a workshop on Nervous System Regulation.

A common misconception about having a regulated nervous system is that we shouldn't experience stress. We should be calm as a cucumber 100% of the time.

And that just isn't possible or true!

We WANT to experience stress throughout our life as it is needed for our survival.

If we came across a predator we wouldn't want to wait around and make friends with it, we would want to leg it before we got eaten! And experiencing stress helps us do that as it activates the sympathetic response.

In a regulated nervous system we would experience stress when there is danger i.e. a predator and when the danger is no longer around we would move back into a relaxed state.

Unfortunatley, for most of us that doesn't happpen as we have a dysregulated nervous system and experience prolonged periods of stress. Chronic stress can cause a whole range of health issues.

Welcome to Carnival day!

We're looking forward to seeing you at the Forest Park from 12 noon, with the opening procession led by Batida Rio setting off at 12:40, followed by amazing acts including Little Nippers terrier display team, Ridgeside Falconry, and Northern Starr

We also have free activities for all the family!
