RMD Care, which operates St Anthony’s care home, has been named Care Home Provider of the Year at the Leaders in Care Awards 2026.
The national award is a proud achievement for the team at St Anthony’s and for RMD Care’s Watford head office. The Merali family has run care homes in Hertfordshire for more than 30 years, building the organisation around a commitment to exceptional care, employee support and strong local communities.
RMD Care continues to invest in quality systems, workforce development, community engagement and digital care across its homes. Its group-wide rollout of digital care is helping teams, including colleagues at St Anthony’s, identify changing needs and risks earlier, share information more effectively and apply best practice consistently.
RMD Care COO, Riyaz Merali said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this award. RMD Care has always been a family story, and the values on which the organisation was founded continue to guide everything we do today.
