🌸 My Feet And My Planters Have Something In Common
Neither got like this by accident.
A little regular attention goes a long way.
Which is true of feet.....and apparently flower planters.
🏆🌸

I am delighted to announce that my planters have won the prestigious Alma Titchmarsh Cup of Wellingborough 2026. I founded the competition earlier this morning.

I was also judge and jury. Entry numbers were intentionally kept low. Mainly one.
Nevertheless, the standard was exceptionally high.🥰

🌙✨ A little something completely different from feet for a change! ✨🌙

I’d like to introduce you to Meadow Moon — a brand new page created by my very talented friend, Angela. 🌿🎨

Angela makes the most beautiful handmade pieces, from paintings and little houses to painted pots, bookmarks and all sorts of lovely creations inspired by nature, wildlife and a little bit of magic.

I’m genuinely so proud of her for putting herself and her creativity out there and giving her talents a place to shine. ❤️ She is incredibly creative, and I think some of you are going to absolutely love what she makes.

So, please do me a little favour and head over to Meadow Moon, give the page a follow and share it with your friends. 🌙

And if you see something you like, tell me! 😘 I’m sure I can act as chief foot-care practitioner turned unofficial Meadow Moon sales assistant!

And yes… I know what you’re thinking...

“Jane, where have all the witty foot posts gone?!” 👣😂

I apologise for my recent lack of toenail-related entertainment. I have been distracted by an excessive number of paintings, pots and other shiny things. 😂

But fear not… I’m back in the game and the feet are coming! 👣

For now, though, go and show Angela some love. She deserves it. ❤️

Things People Say Before A First Appointment

A few things people say before a first appointment...
"I'm embarrassed about my feet."
(Please don't be. I haven't run screaming from anybody's feet yet.)

"It's only a little corn."
(That's what they all say.)

"My daughter told me to ring you."
(Daughters are remarkably difficult to argue with and are usually right. I know I am.)

"You'll probably tell me off."
(I would never tell you off. Your daughter might but I won't.)

The thing I hear most often after an appointment?
"I should have booked you sooner."

FOOT HEALTH BINGO

☑ I've had it years.
☑ It's not that bad.
☑ I'll wait until after my holiday.
☑ It's only sore when I walk on it.
☑ I don't want to make a fuss.

If you've ticked three or more boxes...

You might be exactly the sort of person I meet every week.

Due to a family bereavement, I’ve had to cancel and rearrange a few appointments recently.

I’m now starting to get my diary back in order and will be in touch over the next couple of days with everyone whose appointment was affected, to get you rebooked.

If you’re waiting to hear from me, I haven’t forgotten you 😊 I’ll be in touch very soon.

Thank you for bearing with me and for all your lovely messages and understanding 💛

A little note to my lovely clients 💙

If I'm a little slower than usual replying to messages over the coming days, please bear with me. I'm dealing with some family matters at the moment.

I'll still get back to everyone as soon as I can, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you for your continued support—it means more than you know. 💙

It's My Birthday Today 🎂

Now, I'm not one to discuss my age publicly.

Mainly because one of my customers recently told me they thought I was at least ten years younger.

And frankly, that's the sort of feedback I choose to accept without question.

So after careful consideration, I have decided that from today onwards I will be identifying as 39.

Any official documents suggesting otherwise are clearly administrative errors.
😄

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a birthday to celebrate.

As a 39-year-old, obviously.

Are You A Podiatrist?

The number of times this conversation happens...
"Are you a Podiatrist?"
"No."
"Oh sorry, I meant Chiropodist!"
"Still no."
"Oh..."
At this point, I sometimes feel like saying yes just to save time.
(For legal reasons, that's a joke.)

I'm a qualified Foot Health Practitioner and spend my working week helping people with things like:
👣 Nail cutting
👣 Corns
👣 Hard skin
👣 Thickened nails
👣 General foot care

The funny thing is, lots of people think they need a Podiatrist or Chiropodist for these things. Often, they don't

Sometimes people do need a Podiatrist.

And if I ever think that's what you need, I'll happily point you in the right direction.

But many people are surprised to discover that what they actually needed was a Foot Health Practitioner.

Or, as most of my customers know it...
"A Jane."
