A Triumphant Return to the Bozeat Annual Show!
After several years away from the Bozeat Annual Show, the Seed to Plate
team from Oakfield Community decided it was time to return. The last
time we tasted success at the show was back in 2019, so we were excited
to be taking part once again.
Throughout the growing season, the team have worked incredibly hard.
Together, we selected as many entries as possible from our Seed to Plate
project and Oakfield Community garden. Our aim wasn't to win prizes – we
simply wanted to showcase what we do, share what we have achieved,
and reconnect with the local community.
With tea enjoyed and cakes eaten, it was finally time for the results. What
happened next completely blew our socks off!
Out of our 17 entries, we were awarded:
🥇 6 First Places
🥈 6 Second Places
🥉 2 Third Places
3 entries unplaced
We had come along with no expectations, simply hoping to take part and show what we had been growing. Seeing our hard work recognised in this way was an
amazing feeling.

Oakfield would like to thank Abbie and her family for the very kind donation of £150 towards the upkeep of our animals.

Abbie who is a student at Moulton College, completes her work placement with us, and her dedication and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated, and we are especially grateful to her and her family for their generous support.

The running of the farm relies heavily on the generosity of donations such as yours, and we cannot express how truly thankful we are. Your contribution will help us continue providing the highest standard of care for our animals.

Oakfield would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our annual Music in the Meadow event.

A special thank you goes to everyone who donated before the event. Your generosity played a huge part in making the day such a success.

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, with plenty of stalls to browse, games to play, and our brand-new Crockery Smash, which proved to be a huge hit with visitors of all ages!

Oakfield simply could not hold events like this without your incredible support. Thanks to your generosity, we are delighted to announce that together we raised an amazing £1,270.45.

As you can see from the photos, everyone had a wonderful time, and it was fantastic to see so many of you there. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.

Oakfield would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire Freemasons for their incredibly kind and generous donation of £4,530.

We were delighted to welcome Alex and Michael to our annual Music in the Meadow event, where they presented us with this amazing cheque.

Every donation we receive has a meaningful impact on the lives of the people we support at Oakfield, helping us to continue providing opportunities, experiences and care that make a real difference.
