Recently, resident Beryl was given the opportunity to reconnect with a lifelong passion, allowing her to immerse herself once again in something that has brought her joy throughout her life. It was a truly special experience and a wonderful reminder of the importance of celebrating every resident's unique interests and life story.

We’re kicking off our World Cup celebrations today at the care home! Residents are getting into the football spirit with delicious football-themed cupcakes, plenty of smiles, and lots of excitement as we look forward to the tournament together.

From friendly football chats to cheering on our favourite teams, it’s set to be a fantastic few weeks of fun, friendship, and sporting action.

Oaktree Court Care Home D-Day commemorations from yesterday 🇬🇧🇬🇧

We were delighted to welcome our wonderful D-Day Dolly, who helped us mark the 81st anniversary of D-Day with music, memories, and reflection.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the occasion as we came together to remember the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served during one of history’s most significant moments.

Thank you to our D-Day Dolly for helping make the day so special and for bringing so many smiles to our residents’ faces.

🎉 Belated Birthday Wishes for Ken! 🎉

On the 4th June, we had the pleasure of celebrating here with our wonderful resident Ken, turned 102 years old! 🎂🎈

Ken is a proud veteran whose life has been filled with remarkable experiences, achievements, and service. His stories, wisdom, and positive spirit continue to inspire everyone around him.

To mark this very special occasion, Ken received many lovely birthday cards, including a special card from Burma, along with thoughtful gifts, well wishes, and messages from family, friends, and the local community. 💌🌹

Everyone at the care home thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with Ken and making his day as special as he is. We are honoured to have such an extraordinary gentleman as part of our care home family.

🎵😊 Come Home Music Afternoon Oaktree Court Care Home 😊🎵

What a lovely afternoon we had today with Music Afternoon! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the music, singing along, and spending time together.

Music has a special way of bringing happiness, creating smiles, and lifting people’s spirits, and today was a perfect example of that. The room was filled with laughter, joy, and great company as everyone shared in the enjoyment of the afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success. We hope the music brought back happy memories and left everyone with a smile on their face.

🎲 Scrabble Afternoon at Oaktree Court Care Home 📝

Residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of Scrabble at Oaktree Court today. There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughter, and some impressive word-building skills on display!

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the afternoon such a success. It’s always great to see residents coming together to enjoy good company and a bit of fun.

We look forward to our next game session!

🇬🇧 We are incredibly proud of Ken, aged 101, who recently attended the Buckingham Palace Garden Party in recognition of his WWII service and dedication as a veteran of the Burma campaign in India. 👏❤️

Accompanied by his daughter Jane and Activities Lead Nicky, Ken described the occasion as “a tremendous honour” after being formally presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.

It was a truly unforgettable day and a wonderful example of the meaningful ‘just for me’ moments we love creating here at Oaktree Court.
