💙 Feedback from Hayden's Dad, James 💙
There is nothing more meaningful to us than hearing about the difference our support has made to the lives of the young people and families we work with.
We recently received some touching feedback from James, whose son Hayden has spent time at The Pines.
James told us that he has seen Hayden grow in confidence and independence during his time with us, often noticing a real difference when he returns home.
“He seems to come out of himself and become more independent.”
He spoke about the special relationships Hayden has built with the team, particularly with John, who Hayden became really close to over the years.
“I’ve never seen him as close with someone like that. Hayden has connected with everyone there and they’ve always made him feel safe.”
As a father, for James, knowing that Hayden was happy, safe and cared for gave him enormous reassurance.
“He doesn’t even say goodbye to us when he gets there – he just goes off like it’s his second home!”
James also shared how the team went above and beyond to support Hayden and their family during more challenging times, helping Hayden access support when he needed it most.
His words have left a lasting impact on the team:
“If it wasn’t for all of you and the support you’ve given us, we wouldn’t be where we are now. I will never forget what you’ve done for us. It’s been life-saving.”
James said that if he had known about The Pines sooner, he would “do it all over again” and described the experience as the best thing for Hayden and their whole family.
As Hayden now moves on to the next chapter of his journey, we are so proud of the progress he has made and wish him every happiness for the future. 💙
