☕🍰 Another successful Chatty Café morning at Melwood Grange Care Home ☕🍰

Residents, staff and members of the local community came together on Thursday to enjoy tea, coffee and refreshments while sharing stories, taking part in games and making new connections.

The Chatty Café scheme is a wonderful way to bring people together, share good conversation and enjoy time in each other’s company. Melwood Grange Care Home hosts a Chatty Café morning every month, so be sure to follow their page for details of the next event!

🌊☀️ A day at Southend-on-Sea 🌊☀️

On Wednesday, residents and staff from Mountbatten Lodge Care Home took a trip to Southend-on-Sea. They enjoyed a traditional fish and chips meal, spent time dipping their toes in the water and ended the day with a Mr Whippy ice cream. A great time was had by all and the residents are looking forward to the next adventure!

On Thursday, residents and staff at Greenacres Care Home enjoyed a delightful visit from Performing Pets, who brought along a wonderful selection of feathered friends.

The chirping budgies and cockatiels met every resident, happily perching on shoulders, enjoying cuddles and making themselves right at home. It was a lovely afternoon for all 🐦

🖌️🍷 Sip, Paint and Create at Dukeminster Court Care Home! 🖌️🍷

Yesterday, Dukeminster Court Care Home hosted a wonderful Sip & Paint afternoon for residents and their relatives to enjoy. There was plenty of creativity in the room, with everyone getting involved and letting their inner Van Gogh shine! 🎨

Everyone enjoyed creating their own unique artwork while sharing drinks, delicious snacks and plenty of laughs.

☕ Afternoon Tea Week Celebrations ☕

This week marks Afternoon Tea Week, an annual celebration of the much-loved British tradition and a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy good food and spend time together.

Residents and staff at Mantles Court Care Home decided to put their own twist on the traditional afternoon tea, celebrating with a delicious sweet and savoury grazing board, offering plenty of tasty treats for everyone to choose from. And, of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without a cuppa served in traditional cups and saucers! 🫖

Residents and relatives enjoyed a wonderful occasion filled with a variety of treats, conversation and plenty of laughter.
