π¦Ά Let's talk about Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis)
Itchy, peeling skin between your toes? You're not alone β athlete's foot is a super common fungal infection, and despite the name, you definitely don't need to be an athlete to get it! It loves warm, damp places like locker rooms, pools, and sweaty shoes.
π Signs to look out for:
βοΈ Itching or burning (especially between the toes)
βοΈ Redness, peeling, or cracking skin
βοΈ Dry, scaly patches on the soles
β
What helps:
β’ OTC antifungal creams/sprays (like Daktarin or Lamisil) β stick to ONE product at a time
β’ Dry your feet thoroughly after washing
β’ Wear breathable shoes & moisture-wicking socks
β’ Sandals in public showers/pools = your friend
β οΈ See a podiatrist if it doesn't improve after 2β4 weeks, spreads, or looks infected.
It's common, it's treatable, and it's nothing to stress about but if left untreated it can infect the toenails and that's so much harder to treat.
Take care of those feet! π
