It's been a while, but I will be hosting the next Community Soundbath in aid of Molesey Churches Night Shelter on 14th September at Studio 366.

If you haven't been to one of these sessions before, this is a great way to experience a soundbath at an affordable price (discounts are available) whilst supporting this great charity that does so much to help our community all year round, but especially as the winter approaches. It's also a great opportunity to come and say "hi" to friends here in Molesey.

Mark the longest day of the year with an afternoon of inner reflection, rest and reconnection at Studio 366.

This special session combines a guided drum journey with a soothing sound bath using Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls and gong. Afterwards, share the experience over herbal teas.

Rain outside. Deep rest inside. 🌧️

This Sunday’s forecast is looking a little cooler and showery, which honestly feels like the perfect excuse to step away from the noise of the week and come indoors for an hour of proper rest.

Join me this Sunday, 4–5pm at Studio 366, for a deeply relaxing soundbath with Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls and gong.

You don’t need to “do” anything.
No experience needed.
Just lie down, get cosy, and let your body soften.

If your week has felt full, busy, hot, heavy, overstimulating or just a bit much, this is your invitation to pause.

I don’t know who needs to hear this… but
Not every sound healing claim needs to be taken as fact.
You can love sound baths, singing bowls and therapeutic sound without believing every spiritual or scientific-sounding claim attached to them.

Let’s gently unpack a few.

*Singing bowls are not aligned to chakras*
You may see bowls sold as “heart chakra”, “third eye chakra” or “root chakra” bowls.
But there is no reliable scientific evidence that one specific note or frequency will activate the same chakra, organ or body part in every person.
Bodies are different. Nervous systems are different. Experiences are different.
A bowl can still feel deeply calming, meaningful or powerful, but that does not mean it is mechanically “tuning” a chakra.

*Sound cannot heal you*
Sound is not a magic cure.
It cannot fix your life, erase trauma, cure illness or replace proper medical or psychological support.
But sound can support the conditions where rest, reflection and regulation become easier.
It may help you soften tension, slow your breathing, settle your nervous system and reconnect with yourself.
That is still valuable. We just do not need to overclaim it.

*432Hz or 440Hz are NOT the frequency of the universe*
There is no single “frequency of the universe” that has been scientifically proven to heal humans.
432Hz and 440Hz are tuning standards. They are ways of setting musical pitch.
Some people prefer the sound of 432Hz. Some people do not notice much difference. Some instruments naturally shift in pitch anyway.
Your body does not need a “perfect” frequency to relax.

Questioning big claims does not make sound less beautiful.
It makes the practice more honest.
You can still have a profound experience in a sound bath without needing to prove that a bowl is healing your DNA, balancing your chakras or vibrating at a cosmic frequency.
Sometimes rest is powerful enough.

Feeling safe enough to pause.
Letting the body soften.
Giving the mind somewhere gentle to land.
Being held in sound, silence and stillness.

That is more than enough.

I look forward to Floating Soundbaths at Imber Court Pool with each time they come around. There is something so special about holding space in the pool. The warmth, the acoustics, the gentle ripple of the water. It's just blissful! BUT spaces sell out for these popular sessions very quickly!

We keep the numbers low intentionally, so that you get the absolute best experience in the pool. There is enough room for each of you to float around on your large double airbed in peace.
