We don't just communicate using speech. Often during events such as football matches, the WhatsApp group chat comes into its own. Here we can share our banter, our opinions, our celebrations and our commiserations.

AAC works best when everyone feels confident using it. That includes the person using AAC and the people supporting them. Taking time to learn together can make things feel more natural and easier to use day to day.

The great news is it’s easy to create your own, personalised page with the comments which are unique to you and your family or peer group.
