This World Autism Acceptance Month, let’s come together to build a society that truly supports, understands, and empowers autistic people.

Every action matters—at home, in school, and in the workplace. By showing empathy, listening, and embracing differences, we can create meaningful change.

Stand with autistic children, colleagues, students, friends, and family. Let’s work towards a world that is inclusive, respectful, and accepting for everyone 🙌👏🌟

Yesterday we were proud to welcome Murmuration Community Therapy who delivered insightful and valuable training to the whole team.

At NSPCWT it is important to us to reach, connect with and support Parent Carers of medically complex children.

We understand how challenging life for these families can be, and we are here to listen and support 💜

📣 We want to hear from you 💬✨

We’re currently in a period of consultation 📝 and, as a Parent Carer Forum (PCF), we’ll be shaping our response based on what parent carers are telling us 👂💡

There are some specific questions we’re able to feed back on ❓ and we’ve highlighted the ones most relevant to parent carers over on our Padlet 📌 You’ll also find a helpful document there 📄 explaining the proposed SEND reforms in more detail 🔍

⏳ It’s important to know that these reforms are planned over a 10-year period, and there are no changes to the law at this stage ⚖️

💖 Your voice matters
📢 Your experience matters
🤝 Your input can make a difference

👉 Please take a look, share your thoughts, and help us make sure parent carers’ views are heard 🌟💬 https://padlet.com/lornanspcwt/nspcwt-parent-views-on-send-reforms-oi402qgy0917jux4

Join us at Somerset Hall in Portishead on the first Wednesday of every month 🏠☕

We're here to offer a listening ear 👂, peer support, and signposting to local services.

This month we are joined by

✨ SEND and You - SAY - SAY they are the SENDIAS (Special Educational Needs & Disability Information, Advice and Support) service and can offer help with all kinds of SEND issues at every stage of your child’s education, including SEN support at school, exclusions, Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP's), complaints and appeals. This is a good chance to ask any questions face to face with supportive advice from SAY!

All are welcome! You don't need a diagnosis for your child to access our support—if you have any concerns, please come along. We'll have a warm cuppa and biscuits waiting for you 💜

Supporting siblings training is back and ready to be booked!
