Sunday’s solstice sound journey was absolutely magical. We had this lovely feedback from one participant:

“The sounds and vibrations of both your gongs and both your beautiful voices were so attuned, it was a deeply relaxing experience which I very much enjoyed along with the sonic massage on my back -bliss! This has left me with a long lasting feeling of deep restfullness. My thinking brain completely switched off during the session and despite the heat, I had a really lovely long sleep (much needed!). Thank you both!”

Heidi from Soulbathing and I are running our next event Gathering Summer on the 30th of August. Yoga, sound, crafting and community.

The earlybird booking is open 🧡🧡🧡

🌿 Not everyone finds stillness by sitting still.

For some students, the invitation to “close your eyes and meditate” feels frustrating, uncomfortable or simply inaccessible.

💧 This gentle movement offers a way to find stillness through movement.

As the arms rise, I invite students to imagine that their breath is like mist, effortlessly lifting the hands upwards. As the arms float back down, the exhale becomes fine rain, softly falling towards the earth. 🌫️⬆️ 🌧️⬇️

What I love about this imagery is that students instinctively begin to change the quality of their breathing. The breath becomes lighter and smoother. Awareness becomes more refined, and attention settles naturally into the present moment. ✨

The flowing, repetitive movements give the mind something to rest upon. There’s no need to force concentration or stop thinking. Attention is guided through movement, breath and sensation. 🍃

For yoga teachers, practices like this can be a valuable addition to your toolkit.

✨ Suitable for students experiencing fatigue or low energy

🤍 Supportive during recovery from illness, injury or surgery

🌿 A simple nervous system reset during a busy day when there isn’t time to lie down for relaxation

☕ A mindful “movement snack” between meetings, school runs or endless hours at a desk

🪷 Helpful for people who struggle with seated meditation but still want the benefits of contemplative practice

Sometimes a few minutes of mindful movement can create more calm than twenty minutes spent fighting with your own thoughts 🧡

💬 Do you have students who connect more easily through movement than stillness?

Have you ever thought about taking Yoga Teacher Training? To share yoga with others or just deepen your own practice?

I cannot recommend Morven’s course enough, the knowledge, guidance, and care I received throughout the course were exceptional. It was so much more than learning how to teach yoga, it was a journey of self-discovery, confidence-building, and connection with an amazing community. I was reading through my Dharma essay the other day and it reminded me of the journey this course had taken me on.

If you're curious but not quite ready to commit, the upcoming free taster day is the perfect opportunity to experience the teaching style, ask questions, and see if it feels right for you. I know it was one of the best decisions I've made, and it may just be the start of an incredible journey for you too.

I’ll be popping in for part of the taster day too, so hopefully see you there 🫶🏻☀️

What interests me is how people discover who they are as teachers by exposure to different perspectives, encouraging curiosity, questioning assumptions and creating space for individual voices to emerge.

Reading these messages from current trainees reminded me why that matters.

A good training helps people develop the confidence to teach from a place that is genuinely their own.

If you’re curious about our approach, you’re welcome to join us for our Yoga Teacher Training Taster Day on Saturday 27th June at The Phoenix Tree, Highbridge. We are about 30 minutes from Bristol, 30 minutes from Taunton and 30 minutes from Glastonbury.

✨ Experience a day of training for yourself
✨ Meet trainees and tutors
✨ Enjoy a shared lunch
✨ Ask questions and explore whether the training is right for you

Just 2 places remain.
