🐢 Not your average school hydro pool…

We recently added this project at St Christopher’s SEN School to our case studies, and it’s still one of our favourite hydrotherapy spaces.

With its underwater turtle backdrop and bright, welcoming environment, the 6m x 4m hydrotherapy pool was designed to create a space where pupils can benefit from therapy, movement and time in the water without it feeling clinical.

Great to see The Spark – the new £17m National Centre for Child Health Technology in Sheffield is due to open later in the year.

The centre will bring together clinicians and researchers to help develop new healthcare technologies for children and young people.

We’re proud to have played a part in this exciting project by delivering the Changing Places facility to help ensure the building is accessible and inclusive for everyone who uses it.

Why is an accessible kitchen in a SEND school often called a ‘Life Skills Room’?

Because it’s about much more than cooking! These spaces help pupils build confidence and independence through everyday activities like preparing food, making drinks and using kitchen equipment safely.

At Innova, we provide accessible Life Skills Rooms as part of our wider package for SEN schools, creating practical spaces designed around the people who use them.

The hydrotherapy pool we designed and installed for Martin House Children's Hospice is a project that frequently reminds us why we do what we do.

As the article below highlights, this new facility gives children like Ava the chance to enjoy the freedom and therapeutic benefits of being in the water, while also creating special moments for the rest of the family.

One comment that has really stuck with us is a parent commenting that the hydrotherapy pool is the only place they’re able to properly hold and hug their child. That really says it all.

We’re privileged to have played a part in creating a space that can make such a meaningful difference to children and their families.
