You look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside you’re struggling.
You’re getting on with work, family and everyday life whilst feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected.

You’ve spent so much time putting everyone else first.
Somewhere along the way, your needs have slipped down or completely off the list.
Maybe you're struggling with your mood, confidence, motivation, stress or energy.
Or keep thinking:
"I don't feel like me anymore."

You don't need more advice about what you should be doing.
You need someone to understand what's going on, and work out what will actually make a difference.

That's where my Nurse-Led Health & Wellbeing Assessment
I come in.

I’m Emma, Specialist Nurse & Mental Wellbeing Coach.
Together we’ll explore what’s affecting how
you're feeling. We’ll look at:

Mental wellbeing
Physical health
Sleep and energy
Stress
Nutrition and digestion
Movement
Women's health
Lifestyle and circumstances
steps.
Your goals

I'll help you to understand what's going on, identify the biggest opportunities for change, and create a clear, personalised plan with realistic next steps, focusing on what will make the biggest difference to you right now.

Tuesday Tip- Sometimes you don't need to do more, you need to slow down.

Self massage is a great way to give yourself a little care and attention.

When your mind feels busy, you may not notice but your shoulders are tense, your jaw is clenched.

Taking a few minutes to slow down can make a big difference.

Try a simple self-massage — no fancy equipment needed.

💆‍♀️ Gently massage your temples
🤲 Massage the palms of your hands
🫶 Massage around your jaw
💆‍♀️ Gently squeeze and massage your shoulders and neck

It helps you take a moment, release physical tension and bring your attention back to your body, rather than staying stuck in your thoughts.

And perhaps the biggest benefit? You’re giving yourself a few minutes of intentional care.

It doesn't need to be another thing on your to-do list.

Just 2–5 minutes. Take a breath. Slow down. Check in with yourself. ❤️

What’s one small thing you could do today to give yourself a little more care?

Did you know that 71% of UK mothers feel mentally overloaded?

That’s a pretty shocking statistic.

And this survey included women with children aged 0–17, so we’re not just talking about those early years when it can feel particularly intense.

Maybe you’re reading this thinking, “Yep, that’s me.”

But maybe your children aren’t babies anymore, and you’ve wondered why you still feel so mentally overloaded.

You’re not alone.

Mental overload is something I hear women talk about all the time, clients, friends and family.

There are lots of factors that contribute to this, and whilst the survey highlights the need for many changes, one thing really stood out to me: the importance of holistic mental health support that helps with both physical and mental wellbeing.

That’s exactly the approach I take with my clients.

We look at the bigger picture and focus on practical, realistic changes that can help you feel better, without simply adding more to your already full to-do list.

So if you’re feeling mentally overloaded, overwhelmed or burnt out, send me a DM. Let’s talk about what support might look like for you. 😊

Does this statistic surprise you?

Hey everyone, I thought it was about time I shared a little more about the person behind the business.

At my core.....

Single mum to a funny, creative soon to be high schooler, who keeps me on my toes with those meaning of life type question (usually just before bedtime).

Owner of Ruby, my fluffy sidekick. She’s cute, a little weird, but we love her for it. You may spot her randomly walking around on two legs!

I’ve been a qualified nurse since 2013 and specialist nurse since 2013. I worked in the NHS until 2024, when I took the leap and started Activation Health.

A proper Northerner! I’ve hopped around Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester over the years, but I’m now settled in the Ribble Valley, and absolutely love it.

Random bits....because why not,

I LOVE music and dancing, and my music taste is random and varied.

In what feels like a previous life, I worked as a dancer, in Mexico and I once worked as an elf in Lapland. I kid you not.

I love anything outdoors and active, hiking, running, camping, paddleboarding… if it involves mud and adventure, I’m in.

I collect hobbies like other people collect shoes or handbags. I’m forever wanting to try something new!

Random bits...cont,

I’ve also experienced what it feels like to lose yourself. I lost myself within a relationship and became a version of me I no longer recognised.

Getting divorce, although it was very difficult, it gave me the opportunity to start again. To rebuild my confidence, rediscover who I was, work out what actually made me happy and create a life that felt like mine again.

I’m definitely not someone who has it all figured out. I’m someone who has learned that you can find your way back to yourself… and discover new parts of yourself along the way.

I could of carried on with random facts for many more pages, but I'll leave that for another day 😂

If there's anything else you'd like to know leave a comment or message me direct 😊

“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”

This is something I hear from women more often than you might think.

My client came to me feeling lost and low.

She had lived an incredible, full life.

But somehow, that version of herself felt like a stranger, someone she didn't recognised anymore.

She wanted to feel like herself again.

Not necessarily to go back to who she was…

But to reconnect with the parts of herself she had lost along the way.

So we started by looking at the bigger picture.

Her health.
Her wellbeing.
Her routines.
Her confidence.
Her identity.
And the things that were getting in the way of making changes.

Then we turned those things into small, realistic steps.

We worked together every week.

She set goals.

We checked in.

We worked out what was getting in the way.

And most importantly, we created a clear, actionable plan forward.

No overwhelming list of things she should be doing.

Just the next steps.

Then we looked backwards.

What did she used to enjoy?

What parts of her previous life did she want to bring back?

And what was she actually ready to let go of?

Because sometimes finding yourself again isn't about adding more.

It's about working out what still matters to you.

One thing she noticed was missing: JOY.

She didn't feel like she laughed or experienced those little moments of happiness as much anymore.

So we started looking for them.

I asked her to write down the small things that brought a smile to her face, made her feel lighter.

And the interesting thing was… they were still there.

The little moments.

The things she enjoyed.

The reasons to smile.

They hadn't completely disappeared.

She just wasn't noticing them in the same way anymore.

So we started building them back in.

Not huge life changes.

Small moments.

Small choices.

Things that made her feel more connected to herself and her life.

And gradually, those small things started to feel bigger.

This is what wellbeing work can really be about.

Not becoming a completely different person.

Not fixing everything at once.

But reconnecting with who you are, what matters to you and what makes life feel good.

She wasn't simply working towards goals.

She was rediscovering herself, her confidence and her joy for life.

If you feel like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way…

You don't need to change your whole life.

You might just need some space to stop, work out what matters again, and take the next step.

That's exactly what I help women do.

DM me or comment “RECONNECT” below if you'd like to talk about working together.

Small businesses I love.

I am someone who hates food shopping but I actually enjoy my weekly trip to in Great Harwood to collect my fruit and veg.

Not only do they sell good quality organic fruit and veg, you can pre order a box with the specific fruit and veg you want, and then pop to collect it once it's ready.

And whichever member of the team is there to greet you, Vicky, Leah, or Matty, they always have a smile on their face, and usually a story to tell me.

Whoever that buying fruit and veg could actually feel good, but these guys love what they do and it shows 😊

A new chapter is starting 😊

I've been having a think over the holidays about new services, and new ways to work with me, and a clearer focus on supporting women to look after their mental wellbeing in a practical way that fit into everyday life.

The foundations of what I do hasn't changed - practical, solution focused.

I still believe that feeling better doesn't have to mean completely changing your life or adding more to your already full to-do list.

It's about finding the small, practical changes that work for you.

If you're a woman feeling overwhelmed, stuck or just not quite yourself, you're in the right place.

Follow along for the new chapter 💜
