This morning I ran the Autumn Equinox workshop — 10 fabulous ladies who embraced each other's company so beautifully. The lesson plan went down a treat, and honestly, that's always a little worry when you put something into practice for the first time — but it came together even better than I'd hoped!

It went so well, in fact, that I'm going to condense it and run it as next week's focus theme in the regular yoga classes too — Autumn Flow: the season of letting go.

I made homemade seasonal flapjacks and banana cake, and gifted everyone a bag of conkers (for protection, good luck, grounding, and renewal) and a bag of bulbs to pot up now and watch bloom when spring arrives.
One of the lovely ladies left me this message afterwards, and it made my heart so full I had to share it:

"Had such a lovely morning at Debbie's Autumn Equinox workshop. It was so welcoming and relaxing, with the perfect mix of yoga, gentle movement and time to slow down and reset. The homemade flapjack and banana cake at the end were a lovely treat, and the conkers and bulbs to plant were such a thoughtful touch. Such a lovely way to welcome autumn. 🍂🌱🤎"

I've had so many lovely messages since, and even though it's only just gone lunchtime, I'm feeling completely full — my cup is well and truly topped up. 💛

Next up is the Winter Solstice workshop — rest & reflection, on Sunday 20th December, 10am–12noon, in the home studio. There are still spaces available if you'd like to book on.

I’m back from my two weeks away in the USA and so ready to get back on the mat with you all this week!

This week’s theme is Rebuilding & Rediscovering Rhythm & Routine – and it feels like the perfect one to come back to. Being away always reminds me that a bit of change is so good for us. My usual yoga, Pilates and workouts took a back seat, and instead I said yes to things that pushed me right outside my comfort zone – white water rafting (terrifying and brilliant in equal measure!), getting out on the water, miles and miles of walking and exploring somewhere completely new. And in between all that adventure, plenty of time to just sit back, relax, and properly reset.

I also made a point of getting to some classes myself while I was away – being on the other side of the mat as a student rather than the teacher. It’s something I think is so important to do, even after all these years of teaching. It reminds me what it feels like to walk in not knowing quite what to expect, and it always brings something new back into how I teach.

Now I’m home and easing back into routine, and I know so many of you will be feeling the same after your own summer travels – whether that’s jet lag, a change of scenery, or just life getting delightfully disrupted for a while!

So this week on the mat, we’ll be gently rebuilding – finding our rhythm again, reconnecting with our breath and our bodies, and easing back into practice without any pressure to be “back to it” overnight. Wherever you’re starting from this week, you’re exactly where you need to be. 🧘‍♀️😊🧘🙏🏻🧘‍♂️

Finally sitting down to post this — it’s been a busy week, but this moment deserved a little more time.

I had the pleasure of taking part in this beautiful class at the Glasshouse, led by Emily ✨Embodied Yoga & beautifully captured by Del Stevyn - Commercial photography. There was something grounding about sharing the space with a fellow yogi, Flow&Reform, too.

It’s a stunning space — the kind where movement and music seem to find each other naturally, especially with live piano drifting through the room.

Being on the other side of the mat is a different kind of practice. It slows me down, takes me out of teacher mode, and lets me just be in the moment. It reminded me, once again, why yoga has held such a steady place in my life. 🧘‍♀️ 🎹 ✨ 💛 📸 🤍

I wanted to share a bit of exciting news with you all. Over the next few weeks, YogaTri will be rebranding to Tri Method!

The name change is all about clarity. "Tri" represents the 3 disciplines that have always been at the heart of what I do - Yoga, Pilates & Functional Movement Training - brought together as one method. Under the YogaTri name, I know a lot of you weren't aware that I'm also a qualified Pilates & Functional Movement coach, not just a Yoga Teacher. Tri Method puts that front & centre, so it's much clearer from the outset what you're getting when you train with me.

You won't notice any disruption to classes, timetables or the way we work together - this is about the branding, not the practice. You might see a fresh new look pop up on the website & social media over the coming weeks.

I'm excited for this chapter & for you all to be a part of.

Thank you, Debbie

Thank you to everyone who donated – an incredible £3,066 raised.
So grateful to for encouraging me and sharing my first HYROX (your 8th if I remember right – you powerhouse 💪🏼).
It was tough, special and unforgettable, made even more emotional with our beautiful girls Jess & Tabby cheering us on.
So much love, 💖💜🥳 💜
