A little lunch pitstop after another FAB and rewarding session at Good Food Matters Charity volunteering & helping harvest the crops they're growing!

We 💖 this charity and everything that GFM offer, whether it's engaging people young or old in the joy of home grown produce, getting outside to learn about the skills needed to grow produce, but also taking these new skills to the kitchen to encourage people to cook amazing meals too! 🍽

🌊 A moment of calm…

After a busy week of getting back into routines, new timetables and finding our feet again, sometimes we just need a moment to stop, be still and breathe. 🍃

At Grow Wild Outreach, we know that getting back into a routine can feel different for everyone.

💚 For adults who need a little extra support to get out, connect and find their place.

💚 For parents and carers supporting someone with SEND, who might need a moment for themselves too.

💚 And for children and young people who are still finding their way, especially when traditional environments don’t quite work for them.

Whatever stage you're at, we're here.

Sometimes being outdoors, surrounded by nature, with the right people beside you can make all the difference. 🌳

Our Croydon team have recently been teaming up with Friends of Selsdon Wood voluntary group, assisting with their conservation work in the woodlands and wild flower meadows surrounding Selsdon Woods.

They kindly donated the trolley full of tools to us as seen pictured alongside our Activity Lead Emma. Special thanks to Linda (the FSW secretary), and Jim (a long time volunteer with the group) for helping make this happen!

It's the kindness of donations like this that help us continue to deliver, and even better our services to what activities we can offer to our members. Thanks again Friends of Selsdon Wood 🫶

🦋 SPOTTED: Hummingbird Hawk Moth 🦋

One of our Activity Outreach Leads has been regularly spotting this beauty in her back garden in Croydon, we felt we had to share!

🦋 These moths mimic Hummingbirds very similarly - wings beating around 80 times a second!! Also creating the humming sound that helped give them their name.

🦋 There has been unusual rise this summer of sightings of them due to the hot weather and strong southerly winds - travelling to us from southern Europe and North Africa!

🦋 There's still a chance to see them through September too before the cooler climates come in so keep your eyes peeled 🥰

🏔🥾 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE - LETS GO!

Members of our team are now in full training mode in preparation for the 3 Peaks Challenge on the 02/10/26 raising money for Grow Wild Outreach 🏔🏔🏔

We are a small non profit charity providing outdoor nature based activities to adults and children with additional needs. Every little helps us be able to continue delivering our much needed services across our 3 locations and help even more people in addition to this!

Please help our climbing team and donate what you can and help us get to our target amount of £3000 🙏

☀️ What a summer it’s been at Grow Wild Outreach! 🌿💚

We’ve had a summer packed with fun, laughter, adventures and plenty of brilliant memories along the way. From exciting activities to time spent together outdoors, it’s been wonderful seeing everyone making the most of the summer. 🌻✨

Our amazing team are currently taking a much-deserved break to rest, recharge and enjoy a little downtime. 💚

We’ll be back next week refreshed and ready to go for the new term, with lots more Grow Wild adventures to come!

All in a day's work 🎨

Our Northants Adult Team were back at Pitsford Reservoir recently to assist Viktoria with the painting and assembly of a new bird hide there!

Another great day spent outdoors, helping to care for and improve this special place for visitors and wildlife alike. A huge thank you to everyone who got stuck in with the painting and helped make a difference.

Members of our incredible team are taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge, pushing themselves to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) to raise vital funds for Grow Wild Outreach.
