Pavlina Holicova is an experienced holistic massage therapist specialising in Ayurvedic massages and treatments perfect for promoting health, increasing immunity and resistance and to cure disease. Creating a safe space and having clients’ trust is essential for her work. Her treatments work on many levels - physical, mental, emotional and energetic. Her clients find her approach caring and compassionate and her treatments a deeply nurturing and therapeutic experience. She works with clients of all ages, from different backgrounds and with children, pregnant women, elderly and clients with various health imbalances and conditions. She also offers sound energy therapy - a vibro-acoustic massage with a Tibetan singing bowl, ideal for insomnia and stress. She is trained as a hatha yoga teacher (200 hrs) and she is experienced in teaching yoga in corporate companies and one-to-one/group sessions. She worked in luxury spas, Neal’s Yard therapy rooms, wellness and yoga studios in London since 2012 and she ran a clinic and workshops in Greenwich and Wimbledon. Tongue scraping has been part of my morning self-care ritual for more than 20 years.
Brushing the teeth only is not effective enough and I call tell the huge difference if I don't scrape my tongue in the morning, trust me!

Tongue scraping is an ancient Ayurvedic oral health concept. From the Ayurvedic perspective, tongue is believed to be the window to the status of Agni (digestive fire) and the easiest way to read imbalances in one's body, doshas (bio energies), internal organs and Prakrti (the person's unique mind-body constitution).

The tongue is the largest organ in the oral cavity and the only internal organ that can be seen externally and it is used for tongue diagnosis (Jihva Pariksha) to show the status of Agni (digestive fire) and the function of internal organs and systems.

The most effective way of cleaning the tongue is with a metal tongue cleaner, scrapper or sweeper, e.g. a curved copper or stainless steel.

βœ… HOW TO SCRAPE THE TONGUE?

1-Use your tongue cleaner on an empty stomach first thing in the morning
2-Extend your tongue and gently pull the tongue cleaner from the back to the front to remove the coating and eliminate built-up bacteria
3-Rinse the tongue cleaner and repeat 3x-5x times or until your tongue feels fresh and clean.
