Complex trauma doesn't always look the way you think it does.

When people hear the word trauma, they often imagine one significant event.

But for many people, complex trauma is much quieter than that.

It can develop through years of feeling emotionally unsafe, walking on eggshells, never quite feeling good enough, having your emotions dismissed, or learning that your needs came second to everyone else's.

Over time, your nervous system adapts.

You become the one who overthinks everything before speaking or the one who struggles to say no because disappointing someone feels unbearable.

The one who finds it hard to relax, always expecting something to go wrong.

The one who keeps giving to everyone else while quietly abandoning yourself.

These aren't signs that you're weak or broken.

They're often the ways your nervous system learned to protect you.

The beautiful thing about our nervous system is that it can learn something new, with safety, compassion, and the right support, those survival patterns don't have to define the rest of your life.

If you recognised yourself in any of this, I hope you know there's nothing wrong with you. Your nervous system has simply been doing exactly what it was designed to do....protect you.

If this resonates with you, please know you don't have to navigate it alone.

I specialise in working with adults experiencing the effects of complex trauma, attachment wounds, ADHD, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation through a compassionate, body-based approach.

Using somatic therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed psychotherapy, we'll work together to help your nervous system move beyond survival mode and create lasting change.

I currently have availability for online therapy sessions. If you're ready to begin your healing journey, I'd love to support you. 🤍

The hardest thing my ADHD nervous system has had to learn wasn't how to be more productive.

It was how to slow down.

For years, I thought I always needed to be doing something. If I wasn't working, planning, helping someone else, or thinking about what came next, I'd feel restless... sometimes even guilty.

It wasn't until I began to understand my nervous system that things started to make sense.

And by no means have I completely sussed this out , this is still a work in progress..

For many neurodivergent women, slowing down isn't just about making time to rest. It can feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and even unsafe. When your nervous system has spent years living in survival mode, stillness can feel much harder than staying busy.

Learning to slow down has been one of the greatest gifts I've given myself. Not because I've mastered it, but because I'm learning to notice when my body needs compassion instead of more pressure.

If this is something you recognise in yourself, I hope you know you're not lazy, you're not failing, and you're certainly not alone.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is give ourselves permission to pause.

If you're a neurodivergent woman feeling overwhelmed, constantly "on," or exhausted from living in survival mode, I currently have online therapy spaces available. Together, we can begin creating a nervous system that feels safe enough to slow down.

✨ Limited Online Therapy Spaces Available ✨

There comes a point where you realise it isn't just anxiety, it isn't just overthinking or just being "too sensitive."

You find yourself constantly worrying about how other people feel about you, needing reassurance, struggling to trust yourself, and feeling exhausted by relationships that seem to trigger the same fears again and again.

Many of the women I work with have spent years believing something is wrong with them, when often these patterns are rooted in attachment wounds, nervous system survival responses, trauma, and experiences of moving through the world as a neurodivergent person without the support and understanding they needed.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I am deeply passionate about supporting neurodivergent women, including those who identify as ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD, or highly sensitive.
Through somatic psychotherapy and EMDR, we work together to gently understand where these patterns come from, regulate your nervous system, process past experiences, and build a more secure relationship with yourself and others.

This work isn't about fixing you, its about helping you feel safer, more connected, and more at home within yourself.
