Looking for the perfect day trip destination to add to your Scottish itinerary? We caught a spectacular glimpse of heritage in motion today at Boat of Garten station, watching a classic steam locomotive glide past with its beautiful vintage carriages. 🌟

The engine pulling the coaches today was none other than British Railways engine number 46512. This historic machine is an authentic LMS Ivatt Class 2 MT 2-6-0 steam locomotive, a legendary class of engine affectionately known by rail enthusiasts as a "Mickey Mouse". Seeing it in its immaculate lined black livery, complete with the iconic British Railways emblem, is like stepping directly into a living history museum. 🌲🛤️

There is nothing quite like the nostalgic whistle, the hiss of the steam, and the majestic sight of British Railways history rolling along the tracks. It is a fantastic reminder of the timeless engineering and incredible heritage preserved beautifully right on our doorstep.

Absolutely fantastic family dinner at Charcoal Aviemore 😍 One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. A wonderful way to end the holiday. The food is so good it's difficult to put into words. 🫟ARTS AND CRAFTS DEN EASTER SCHEDULE🫟

We hear you, we hear you! Our Arts and Crafts den is brand new, super exciting, and maybe a little confusing 🫣

While we appreciate our staff, guests, and owners bearing with us while we work out what works for us at Nairn, but it’s time to share a schedule!

🫟BOOKING: HOW DOES IT WORK?

Like every activity, we have allocated time slots for each of our offerings (Sand Art, Pottery Painting, Spray Tie Dye, and Make a Bear) which allow you to plan your day on park.

Advantages to booking your slot is you have a more personal experience and a focus on that activity with a drawback being restricted to your booking time.

You can book your time slot on the online booking hub, with your troupers, or at reception.

🫟IMPULSE: HOW DOES IT WORK?

We will welcome in impulse activities at set times in the day, usually during our self led activities. At these times, you can come into the den and do any of our 4 offerings.

The advantage to impulse booking is you don’t need to decide what you want to do until you get there and have a nosey, with a drawback being activities such as make a bear and tie dye will not have as much a personal experience as the set sessions.
