One Vision Studios “One Vision Studios: Where Creativity Meets Opportunity, Powered by a Truly Wonderful Team!” We have a wide variety of activities taking place through the week.

One Vision was established in October 1998 through a free speech group. The group found it easier and much more effective getting their point across on video. Taking away the live presentation allowed people to relax and work at their own pace. The whole process was enjoyed so much we decided to set up a non-profit organisation. One Vision started with just 5 staff and 15 members, We now welcome o

ver 85 members and 40 staff throughout the week along with links from local schools in the borough. These include Film production, Performing Arts, Task Masters, Hospitality, Unique Sewing, Sensorial Superstars, Health & Wellbeing. Through all our activities we aim to improve confidence and self esteem and enable people with learning disabilities to lead full and purposeful lives within their community.

🍂Autumn season is nearly here! 🍂

In preparation, One Vision’s staff and members have been crafting up props for upcoming winter shows.

From large pumpkins and colourful stars too spooky spiders and ghosts, we all got involved installing lights, experimenting with our colour sequences and creating the stands for our brilliant props.

We all had so much fun and can't wait to see our props being put into action!

Today, the Sensory Adventurers put yesterday’s community learning into practice by creating a delicious Quorn cottage pie.

The group developed their practical skills by chopping ingredients, peeling and mashing potatoes, following instructions and working together safely in the kitchen.

Once finished, everyone enjoyed dining together before showcasing their independent living skills by clearing away and helping to tidy the kitchen.

Today our Sensory Adventurers took their learning out into the community.

Using their own PECS symbols, the group worked together to find and identify all the ingredients needed for tomorrow’s cottage pie cooking session.

They then took turns using the self-service tills, scanning, paying and building their independence.

💙 What an amazing day! 💙

Staff and members of One Vision Studios joined hundreds of incredible people today to raise funds, awareness and support for the Joining Jack Family Mile.

We proudly support this event twice a year, and every single time we take part, we are reminded of the incredible joy, togetherness and community spirit it brings. 🥰

We always say that we line up alongside strangers and cross the finish line as friends — and today was no exception. What a privilege it is to be part of something so special.

Joining Jack is a UK-based charity founded in 2012 by Andy and Alex Johnson after their son Jack was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a rare and life-limiting muscle-wasting condition.

Through funding vital research and clinical trials, supporting families and improving quality of life, and raising awareness through amazing community events like the Family Mile and Wigan 10K, Joining Jack continues to make a truly meaningful difference. 💙

A huge thank you to every organiser, volunteer, participant, supporter and fundraiser who makes days like today possible. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

And to everyone who joined us today — thank you for the laughs, the smiles, the memories and the friendships. What a team! 💙

What a perfect end to a beautiful first week for our Sensory Adventurers.

Today, the group arrived and got straight into their salon uniforms, ready for their very own work experience session.

We started by identifying and exploring the different equipment you would find in a salon. The group then took turns washing each other’s hair, exploring the water, textures and different shampoo products before finishing with a spot of blow-drying.

To finish off our busy day, the group booked their appointments and wrote their time slot ready for next week’s salon session.

What a fantastic day of learning, exploring, building confidence and having fun!

Another exciting day for our Sensory Adventurers!

Today, the group worked together, taking turns to follow a step-by-step recipe and create a delicious Veggie Sticky Sesame Chicken with Quorn Pieces.

From exploring ingredients and following instructions to mixing, cooking and working as a team, there were lots of opportunities for sensory exploration, independence and learning along the way.

The best part? Sitting together at the end and enjoying the delicious meal that they had made themselves!

Those smiles say it all, another beautiful day filled with fun, teamwork, new experiences and lots of happy memories 🥰🥰🥰

👻🎶 Spooky Sounds with our Sensory Explorers! 🎶👻

Today, our Sensory Explorers took to the computers and got creative, having a go at composing their very own musical melodies with a spooky theme.

They got to make all the important musical decisions, choosing which notes to play, the tempo of their music, and even which instruments to use.

It was fantastic to see everyone experimenting, being creative and having lots of fun along the way.

They all did an absolutely spook-tacular job!

🍂✨ Autumn adventures have officially begun! ✨🍂

What a fantastic, fun filled day with our Sensory Adventurers. Today we kicked off our seasonal crafts project by getting stuck into creating our very own beautiful autumn oasis posy bowls.

First up… LEAF WASHING. There were splashes, giggles and lots of hands on exploring as our adventurers washed their leaves before giving them a little pat dry.

Then it was time for more fun, twist, twirl and decorate. We carefully threaded our leaves onto the wire before adding them to our oasis and watching our beautiful creations come to life.

Messy hands, happy faces, sensory exploration and LOTS of autumn magic.

What a beautiful day we’ve had, just look at those smiles.
