MRI of the spine revealed a ventral, predominantly left-sided extramedullary mass at the level of C2, helping to identify the underlying cause of this patient’s neurological signs and guide the next steps for diagnosis and treatment planning.

This week’s case featured a 13-year-old Border Collie who presented with suspected seizure activity and circling.

MRI of the brain revealed a right-sided parietal cortex intraparenchymal lesion, with imaging findings most consistent with an inflammatory or vascular (ischaemic) process, while neoplasia was considered much less likely.

CT imaging revealed bilateral adrenal enlargement consistent with pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease), hepatomegaly compatible with vacuolar hepatopathy, and a thickened small intestinal wall suggesting nonspecific enterocolopathy.
