Our fully equipped wood workshop gives attendees the opportunity to create a range of horticultural products while developing practical and transferable skills. The workshop provides a simulated work experience environment, helping build confidence, teamwork, problem-solving and workplace skills. Qualifications are also available, providing formal recognition of the skills developed.

📢 WE’RE HIRING – SUPPORT WORKER

STEPScic is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team in Ince, Wigan.

🕘 35 hours per week | Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm
💷 Starting salary £24,500 (£13.47 per hour, increasing to £14.01 within the first 6 months)

This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with learning disabilities, helping them develop skills, independence and confidence through meaningful activities. Please see full details attached.

Great fun at our cricket sessions! Attendees have been learning the basics of cricket, including how to throw, catch and hit the ball, before putting their new skills into practice in exciting matches. A fantastic way to stay active, build confidence and enjoy the game.

Our attendees have been enjoying fantastic dance and chair yoga sessions facilitated by Elle's organic living. These sessions are a great way to support wellbeing, helping to improve movement, flexibility, balance, confidence and relaxation, while having fun and connecting with others. After weeks of excitement, friendly competition and cheering on teams from around the world, we can finally reveal our winners! Congratulations to Dannylee, whose randomly drawn team, Spain, went all the way to lift the trophy! Dannylee has now received our specially designed and 3D-printed STEPScic World Cup trophy. A big well done to David, who finished in second place and to everyone who took part.

Three of our attendees recently enjoyed their first session of crown green bowling!
It was fantastic to see them trying something new, building confidence and having lots of fun. A huge thank you to Glen Moore Earls Community & Sports Club for letting us use the Green and to those individuals who kindly donated the sets of bowls, it is very much appreciated.
