There was a time I questioned whether leaving the NHS was the right decision.
At the point of leaving i was told "My job was sought after" I was crazy to leave a secure band 6 role.
I loved caring for people, but the pressure, exhaustion, lack of balance and appreciation started taking away the part of me that genuinely enjoyed helping others.
Now, I still get to care for people — just in a different way, I still use my nursing skill just in a different capacity.
I get to spend time with my clients, listen properly, build trust, and help them feel confident in themselves again, no rushing, no pressure just doing what I love with more appreciation & reward.
It’s about helping someone look in the mirror and feel more like themselves again.
I feel greatfull that this is what I do and appreciate everyone who has supported me even if I see you once a year or once a month it means the world you choose me 🫶
If you’ve left an appointment with me feeling more confident, more comfortable, or more like yourself again… thank you for trusting me 🙏
