Live in York or North Yorkshire and not feeling like yourself at work?

Whether you’re currently off work or finding things tough while working, support is available through the Trailblazer Resilience Hub.

Around 1 in 4 adults experience a mental health condition, and many more of us support someone who does. While good work can have a positive impact on our wellbeing, sometimes we all need a little extra help.

The Trailblazer Resilience Hub offers:
✅ An initial assessment to understand your needs
✅ Up to six sessions with a trained mental health professional
✅ Fully funded support at no cost to you through the Good Work, Healthy People project

Find out more: bit.ly/GWHP-Mental-Health

Referrals are welcome from individuals, employers and GP practices.

Good Work, Healthy People is supported by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority using funding from the Department for Work and Pensions’ Get Britain Working Economic Inactivity Trailblazer. Delivered by Humber and North Yorkshire ICB Best Place To Work Team. Emma Marshall, Rach McCafferty, Jade Jenkins, Lisa Billard and Gursharan Panesar-Bell.

Update: Resident Doctors' Strike Called Off

The resident doctors' strike that was due to begin on Monday 15th June has now been called off.

The planned industrial action would have affected NHS services across the country, including in Humber and North Yorkshire.

Patients should continue to attend appointments as scheduled and access NHS services as normal if they need them.

This , we're celebrating the incredible impact volunteers make across health and care.

We're shining a spotlight on the Volunteering for Health Programme, which is helping to create more inclusive, accessible and meaningful volunteering opportunities across Humber and North Yorkshire.

From supporting young people to gain confidence and experience, to creating clearer pathways into health and care careers, the programme is unlocking the power of volunteering to benefit individuals, services and communities alike.

As part of Volunteers' Week, we've also launched our new Volunteering for Health LinkedIn page. Follow us to keep up to date with news, opportunities and stories from across the region.

Read Maisy's inspiring volunteer-to-career journey and find out more about the programme in our latest blog: https://humberandnorthyorkshire.org.uk/celebrating-volunteering-in-health-and-care-during-national-volunteers-week-2026/

With the bank holiday weekend coming up and the warmer weather on the way - it’s a great time to check your first aid kit at home or in the car is fully stocked.

Essentials like plasters, antiseptic cream, painkillers and sun cream can help you deal with minor accidents, injuries and sunburn while you’re out enjoying the sunshine.

Remember to apply sun cream regularly, especially if you’re spending long periods outdoors.
