I looove seeing women recognise each other when they step into the studio for their first postnatal class.

You can almost see their shoulders drop as they walk in not knowing who or what to expect, and then realise they’re in a room full of familiar faces!

And I’m expecting I will see that familiar look next Thursday when we restart postnatal yoga at the beautiful

Come and join us and discover you might have already started to build your village without realising it!

A much needed pause at the end of the summer hols last night for a lovely group of mums.

As always The BAKE Yard Sauna, Wimborne delivered and it was so cosy in the sauna as the wind blew around us and we got lost in conversation.

This event also marked the end of my Summer Slowdown series and I’ve loved hearing how everyone has been getting on.

The thing a lot of mums have taken from it? That they find it so hard to take intentional rest, and as we said last night, rest doesn’t need to mean a spa day.

☕️ It’s leaving the washing and putting your feet up with a cuppa rather than racing to get everything done (which let’s face it will never happen anyway!)

🌞 It’s actually pausing for a few mins to put your face to the sun and take some deep breaths.

🧖‍♀️ It’s an hour out of the house for a sauna or a yoga class.

The more we practice these little things, the more they can become second nature.

And for me, after a busy week, this rainy day today is just what I need to slow down and dip my toe in cosy season!

Sunset trying to peak through 👀

I’ll take one for the team here as some of our cold plunge pics were 😱🤣

Gorgeous goodies from Kat | Vamos Kitchen

Can’t wait to come back for some cosy autumn sessions soon 🍂

It gets a lot easier to follow the path to your kind of birth when you stop sharing your plans with people who just don’t understand.

Find the women who are getting curious or have had the experience you want, have brave conversations.

This is what makes those choices feel possible for you.

And these are the kind of conversations we’re having inside The Birth Prep Collective…

We start in one week, signup at the link in bio.

There will be plenty of chances to make mum friends along the way…

But the actual preparing for birth? That needs to be the priority.

Find the right person that speaks to how you want to prepare for birth and then chances are, you’ll be in the room with truly like minded women anyway!

Or you can get all of that and connect with the same women over 12 weeks in The Birth Prep Collective…just saying 💅

💛 “I’m exhausted but I don’t want to complain.”

💛 “I cried because the milk had gone off and I just wanted a cup of tea.”

💛 “I thought I’d cope better than this.”

💛 “My birth was really hard.”

And then almost every single time…

“But I’m fine!”

You don’t have to be fine at postnatal yoga 🫶

It isn’t about touching your toes or “getting your body back.” 🤢

It’s one hour a week where you don’t have to pretend you’re ok.

Where you can move, breathe, laugh and/or cry if you need to, and you’ll soon realise you’re definitely not the only one feeling this way.

September postnatal yoga bookings are open and I will welcome you exactly as you are!

DM me if you’d like a space 💖

As a busy Mum, your time is precious and that’s why your yoga practice needs to leave you feeling refreshed not rushed.

Yoga for Mothers hits that sweet spot 🤌 …enough movement that you get those endorphins going but a slower pace where it’s needed in more challenging or under-explained postures.
