🐻🧺 International Picnic Day Celebration 🧺🐻

This morning we celebrated International Picnic Day with a wonderful Teddy Bears Picnic!
Our residents enjoyed sharing stories, laughter, and picnic treats together.

We were also delighted to welcome our lovely vicar and several members of the congregation, who joined us for the celebration and helped make the morning even more special.

Thank you to everyone who came along and shared in the fun. It was a lovely opportunity to come together as a community and create some wonderful memories. 💛

This afternoon, Royal Ascot came to Magna! 👒🏇

We donned our handmade fascinators and enjoyed our very own Ladies' Day celebration, complete with hobby horse races, plenty of friendly competition, and lots of smiles.

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, fun, and wonderful memories.

This morning, we enjoyed a wonderful Goal-den Moments talk from Nick, who shared fascinating stories and memories about his dad, Peter McParland. ⚽✨

It was a privilege to hear personal insights into the life and legacy of Peter McParland, bringing history to life through family memories and experiences.

We were also proud to reflect on the fact that we had the privilege of caring for both Peter and his wife, Carol, here at Magna. It made the morning even more special to celebrate Peter's remarkable life and achievements with those who knew and loved him best.

A huge thank you to Nick for such an engaging, heartfelt, and memorable presentation.

🎶🎤🌳💚 A HUGE thank you to our wonderful friends from the Oak Tree Minstrels! 💚🌳🎤🎶

What a fantastic morning we had! 😊☀️ The room was filled with beautiful harmonies 🎵🎶, plenty of singing 🎤, happy smiles 😄, and all those wonderful old-time favourites that everyone knows and loves ❤️🎼.

It was such a joyful and uplifting morning 🌞✨, with lots of toe-tapping 👏🕺, singing along 🎶🎤, and great memories shared together 💕.

Thank you, Oak Tree Minstrels, for bringing so much happiness, laughter 😊, and music 🎵 into our day. Your performance was truly appreciated by everyone, and we loved every minute of it! 🌟👏💐

🐝🍯 What a fantastic and very interesting morning we had today! 🍯🐝

A huge thank you to Ian and Vicky from Snooks Farm and Wicked Bees for coming in and giving us an update on our wonderful Magna honeybees in the garden! 🌼🌸🐝

Ian kindly brought along an observation hive containing some of our very own bees🐝🔍.
It was amazing to see them up close, busily buzzing and working away! 👀✨ We learned so much about how the bees live, work together, and help our environment 🌍🌻.

The highlight for many of us was getting to taste our very own Magna honey straight from the garden! 🍯😋 Everyone had a try and it was absolutely delicious! 😍👏

It was a very successful morning full of learning, fun, and fascination. 📚😊 We all came away having learned lots about our hardworking little friends. 🐝💛

Celebrating the life of footballer Peter McParland ⚽

Join us to learn about the extraordinary career of Aston Villa star footballer Peter McParland.

McParland is known for scoring two goals in Aston Villa’s 1957 FA Cup Final win, and scoring five times for his country, Northern Ireland, World Cup in 1958 🏆
McParland is recognised as one of Northern Ireland's greatest ever players.

This celebration of his skill will be led by Peter McParland's son, Nick.

🌊🐚💙 Happy World Ocean Day! 💙🐚🌊

Today we were delighted to welcome our wonderful volunteer Glynis, who gave a fascinating talk all about her work with marine life and why protecting our oceans is so important 🌍

Everyone was amazed to see a huge cuttlefish skeleton and explore some real seaweed - we could even smell the sea, bringing a little bit of the coast right into the room!

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the incredible creatures that call our oceans home and how we can all play a part in protecting them for future generations 🐳🐬🐢🦀⭐

A big thank you to Glynis for sharing her knowledge and passion with us! 💙👏
