Our residents have been putting their baking skills to good use with some delicious kitchen activities. We enjoyed making homemade scones, as well as baking a tasty fruit loaf.

There is always something special about baking together, from preparing and mixing the ingredients to enjoying the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen. Of course, the best part is sitting down together to taste the finished results!

We welcomed the arrival of spring with a cheerful Easter egg hunt, which brought plenty of smiles and a light-hearted sense of fun throughout the home. Residents enjoyed taking part in the search, with staff on hand to support and encourage everyone to join in at their own pace.

The activity sparked conversations, laughter, and a touch of friendly competition, making it a lovely way to celebrate the season. Of course, there were also some well-earned chocolate treats at the end, which were enjoyed by all.

Christmas was a special time at Oakdene, marked by a visit from Father Christmas, which residents thoroughly enjoyed. The festive celebrations continued with a beautiful Christmas dinner, carefully prepared by our kitchen team.

Residents enjoyed sitting together to share the meal, and we would like to thank the kitchen staff for all their hard work in making the day feel special.
