✔ Accepting new patients (including Medi box patients)
✔ FREE delivery to Winlaton, Blaydon, Rowlands Gill, High Spen, Swalwell, Crawcrook & Ryton
✔ Urgent same day prescription delivery for acute medication (e.g antibiotics)

"After 13 years running RW Wilson Pharmacy today is my last day.

It has been an absolute privilege being part of Winlaton life over that time and being your chemist.
I'm not old enough to retire(!), but have decided to spend more time with my family and see more of my wee girl growing up, her first 2 years have vanished in a blink of an eye and I want to see more of her.

I will miss the team greatly.

The most you can ever ask is for your work to be a second home and they are like a second family to me. They have never let me down and I'm so grateful to them.
We have been through so much together and they are the greatest asset the new owners could ever hope for.

The new owners are a lovely couple and I wish them all the best for their tenure. Kathryn is replacing me day to day and she should be familiar to you all as she's been helping me for as long as I've been here, I wish her all the best too.

RW Wilson Pharmacy has been here longer than any of us now. It's part of the fabric of the village and will always be here for the community. You'll hopefully not even notice I'm gone and some things might even get better!!

So thank you all for your support, your custom and your friendship over the years, it's been a pleasure.

If you need me today I'll be mainly trying not to cry in the dispensary!

**** ANNOUNCEMENT ****

It's not very often that someone actually leaves Wilson's Pharmacy but tomorrow Friday 11th April, after 19 years of amazing service, Ann is retiring!

She will be a massive miss for us and although you'll all agree that she looks far too young to retire we wish her all the best in the fun future ahead.

On a personal note I'd like to thank Ann for all her tireless hard work and dedication to the patients of Winlaton and being part of the team here.

Enjoy your retirement Ann and we're certain you won't be a stranger.

These little ones were left in the pharmacy the other day and as much as we love them they really should be at their real home. If anyone knows who they belong to we'll take care of them until collected.

It's too dark to let people safely into the pharmacy now but if you need us before we close at 17.30 just knock and we'll come to you...with a torch....in big coats and hats!

Like much of the village we currently have no power and no phones. Even mobile signal is patchy.
We are here but very limited in what we can do.
