Today’s game finishes 4-3 to Bo’ness United, who take all three points after a cracking, competitive game.
We gave ourselves a mountain to climb after going 3-0 down inside the opening 20 minutes, but showed great character to battle back before half-time.
Kev McNeilly pulled one back with a header from a corner before new signing Jack Wood, who had a great debut, played Connor McGivern through to slot home and make it 3-2.
We came flying out after the break and levelled almost immediately, with Shaun Tierney converting from the penalty spot.
At 3-3 the game was really tight and could have gone either way. With around 15 minutes remaining we had the chance to take the lead from another penalty, but it came back off the bar. Shortly afterwards Bo’ness found the winner to take the points.
A tough one to take, but plenty of positives in the way we fought our way back into the game. The lesson today, don’t give teams a three-goal head start!
Our MOTM was Shaun Tierney, who worked tirelessly up top and has been in great form in front of goals recently scoring 5 in his last 6 appearances.
