✨ 👏💄👩‍🎓Sometimes life just has other plans for us… ✨

After finishing her Fine Art degree 🧑‍🎨🖼️ , Liv took what was supposed to be a “temporary office job” while she figured out her next right step.

Then life happened and it got in the way a little…

🏡 A mortgage on her own.

💷 Bills to pay.

📅 Responsibilities.

One year turned into another… then another… and before she knew it, 15 years had passed her by.

But one thing never ever left her…

❤️ Her love of creativity.

Last year, Liv trained with me in Permanent Makeup and, whilst continuing to work full-time at the office, she’s spent the last year building her business around evenings and weekends.

This week she returned for her assessment day having successfully completed all of her case studies and many more. 👌👏👏🎉

I spend time looking through all of her fantastic work… so many smiling faces in her portfolio and her social media and website.👏👏💄

What makes me so proud is that she’s done it all while balancing a busy full-time career.

👏👏🙌Just a few hours here and there.

A Saturday morning.

One permanent makeup client at a time.

And those small steps have added up to something really quite special. ✨😻

🤎 Creating beautiful, natural hairstroke brows.
💋 we spend assessment day mastering the art of the incredible lip blush.

✨ Helping women feel more confident every day.

❤️👩‍🎓We worked together on a stunning lady that had just come through chemotherapy to feel like her again, with even better brows than before.

It’s given Liv the real creative outlet she’d been missing for years.

Something exciting to look forward to after a week in the office.🫶💫

A chance to use the fantastic artistic skills she thought she’d left behind. 🎨

And here’s the part that really made me happy…

Over the last year, every single client who came for a consultation went on to book treatment.

💬 “All of them that have come for consultations are going into treatments.”

That’s a 100% consultation-to-treatment rate. ❤️

Even better, many clients didn’t stop at one treatment. 🌟🌟They came back for additional procedures too, which shows just how much trust she’s built with her clients.

Most of this growth has come through friends, family and referrals, she’s now charging the full rate for her treatments.

No huge advertising budget.

No big sophisticated high end marketing campaigns.

Just very beautiful work, incredibly happy clients and word of mouth. 👄 ✨

When we were chatting, Liv said something that really stood out to me:

💬 “I can earn more money in a couple of hours than I do in a whole day working for a company.”

And yet, for Liv, it isn’t just about the money.

It’s about enjoying the creativity.🔥🔥🙌

❤️👩‍⚕️ There’s this moment of clarity for so many beautiful people working in healthcare where you just know…

something has to change & quickly.✨🧑‍🎨👩‍🎓

Issy felt it.

She’s a mental health nurse in the NHS. 🏥

A single mum. 💛

Working long, full-on days…

“It’s very, very busy… there’s always a backlog… it feels like firefighting most of the time.” 🔥

Backlog after backlog.🤯😫

Always helping everyone else.

But on the inside… she started asking herself

“What about me?” 🤯🤯

She didn’t want to leave helping people.

She just wanted more control…

More freedom in her schedule👏

Then something happened that made her think about a new career…

🔥❤️✨ Sometimes the timing works out far better than we could have ever planned…

👩‍🎓🌟When Eleanor first came to train with me life and pregnancy had thrown her a curveball or two to put it lightly.

She continued to show up anyway🔥💫, she still had this quiet dream in the background…

To build a family.

To have more time.

To actually enjoy her life again.

But like so many other women that I train life felt full to the brim already.

Long hours in the lab at an NHS hospital. 🏥

Endless daily commuting on top.

🤯🤯🤯 And that constant feeling of “how would I even fit anything else in?”

Fast forward to today… and everything is already starting to shift and rearrange around her dream of building a business that will allow her to take care of her family.❤️💫👇

Over the past year since I trained her, alongside her work as a Biomedical Scientist at the hospital 🧪🏥, she slowly introduced permanent makeup into her life.

No pressure. No rushing. Just steady steps to build her business in her spare time.

And look what’s happened…

✨ Completed all of her case studies and onto full paying clients

💫 She’s cut down her hours in the lab, now part time only.

✨ Reduced that exhausting commute and now works just minutes from her home in a lovely professional clinic

She can fully step away from the daily grind of working in the hospital and go full time permanent makeup …

Or simply scale things back even more and finally enjoy the fantastic new balance she’s created.

❤️❤️ There’s no pressure.

No “one way” to do it.

Just new options.

New time freedom.

And that life she dreamed about just 12 months earlier?

❤️💄From burnt out NHS nurse to helping menopausal women regain their confidence after hair loss.😍👩‍⚕️✨

🫶After more than 20 years as a bowel cancer nurse in the NHS, Georgie loved caring for her patients…

…but the emotional weight of the job was becoming harder to carry. 🏥

It was a career she cared so deeply about — ❤️👏helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

But like so many other nurses that I train, the pressure was intense.

Long hours.

Emotionally heavy work.

Constant and never ending responsibility.

She loved her patients, I could tell that the instant I met her… ❤️

…but she began wondering if there might be another way to still help people while also creating something enjoyable of her own.

Something creative. 🎨
Something that felt lighter.💃🏻

So she started looking into permanent makeup.💄

Her husband instantly saw the opportunity and how great of a fit this could be.👏

At first, she wasn’t even sure if she belonged in the industry.

👩‍🎓💄She had never worked in beauty before and saw herself as very natural.

And when she arrived for training with me, she admitted she had two big worries:

• Would the treatments be too technical?
• Would there even be a place for someone like her in this glamorous market?

🔥❤️But once she started training, something unexpected happened…

Everything started to make sense. 🧑‍🎨💡

Over the past year since I trained her, her nursing background actually became one of her biggest advantages.

The steady hands.
The calm and lovely way that she reassures her nervous clients.❤️🔥
The care and attention she gives every person in her chair.

“I’m able to spend much more quality time with clients than I can in the hospital.”🏥

All of her skills transferred so naturally that Georgie began doing permanent makeup on weekends while still working in the NHS.

And something unexpected happened.

Instead of feeling like “more work”…
those treatments started to feel like downtime. ☕💫

A space where she could slow down, spend time with her clients, and help them feel confident again.

Then, about a year into her journey, she noticed something important.

Natalia, grew up with her mum and brother. 💞
At 16, worked on the shop floor at Asda. 🛒
Saved for years 💷 watched and rewatched that show on catchup. 😍🧑‍🎨💄👩‍🎓
And at 20, finally walked through my doors with one clear and perfect intention…

#👉 To change her life completely in 2026🔥🤩❤️.

With a high end skill. With expert guidance. And with no shortcuts or excuses.💫

So… here’s what happened next 👀

After the first part of her training, Natalia went home with:

😍💄All the skills she needs to create flawless, natural-looking permanent makeup and some practice skins to nail the techniques.

✨ Proper ring lighting — a Christmas gift from her lovely grandad, who she told me is “so proud”. 🥹

✨ A beauty couch — another Christmas gift chipped in by the rest of her family. 🎄

Clean space.
Calm environment for her and her clients.
Confident.

And ready to get to work and create her dreams.💪🔥

Not “one day I’ll do this.”

She’d already DONE it.🔥🔥😂✔️

She had her first paying case study clients lined up, not at full price yet but at a lower rate of £150.

Twelve of them. 🙌

When she arrived for day one of her live model training, she was naturally nervous. 😬
But later she said this:

“Katy is very reassuring… but not too reassuring. Just the right amount.
She takes you through step by step.
If you don’t want to do something, she won’t make you — but it makes you want to do it.”

We worked together on real people.
Side by side.
Step by step 👣

No rushing clients in and out.🚫
No guessing what to do next.🚫
No panic at all.🚫

She treated her very first client — someone who’d had permanent makeup before and knew the incredible standards of work to expect from my fantastic students.💄

Then, as a little extra special moment… she brought in her lovely mum for a rare beauty treat. 🥰❤️

The pressure was on. 🧑‍🎨🔥👏 She told us her mum was:

Very nervous.

Very particular.

Very cautious.

🔥❤️👏And yet…

“They look so natural,” she said.
“They suit her so well — it’s like she was born with them.”

She looked at me and said:

“It’s such an amazing process seeing the before and after — especially when someone’s never had it done before. It’s such a rewarding feeling… already, so early on.”

By the end of the day, Natalia’s nerves had completely gone, they were replaced by a confidence that she knew exactly what to do. She trusted herself. 😌🔥💄

She said:

“Once you do the first one, it turns from overwhelming into inspiration.
You just want to be good at what you do.
You just want to make everybody feel amazing.” ✨

And here’s something else she said that really matters — ❤️especially if you’re reading this thinking it might be “too late” for you 💭

She described the training as overwhelming…
Then she smiled 😊 and said:

“It’s a good overwhelming.
You’re overwhelmed because you realise what’s possible.
The money you can earn.
The freedom.
The fact you can work for yourself, go on holiday when you want…
it’s a very open career.
You can do what you please.” 🌍✈️

And when she left my clinic 😿…

She wasn’t a girl with a dream anymore.
She left in Jan 2026 ready to start the career she’d been imagining since she was just 14. 🌱

Now, yes — Natalia, at just 20, is a spring chicken. 🐣🧑‍🎨

But even if you are a slightly older, wiser, more experienced woman —
with life behind you, and a quiet dream of starting something new and creative —
and you’re thinking:

“I’ve been stuck for years.”
“I know I want more.”
“I just don’t know if it’s too late.”

🏊‍♀️❤️ Swim teacher Theresa went from “Can I REALLY Do This?” to “I’m ACTUALLY doing it” 👩‍🎓💃🏻🔥✨

🔥🧑‍🎨👏When my dream student Theresa walked back through our doors for her assessment day, almost a year after her very first training days, one word summed it all up for her:

🌪️ “Whirlwind.”

😂🔥🔥And honestly… that word feels spot on.

Back when Theresa first came to train, she was juggling life as a swimming teacher 🏊‍♀️, a mum to two school-age children 👩‍👧‍👦, and a quiet dream 💭 that had been sitting with her ever since she watched ‘Rich House, Poor House’ years before 📺✨

She knew she wanted something different.

🎨🧑‍🎨 Something creative.
⏰❤️ Something that fit around her family.

But like so many people, she didn’t quite know how it would all unfold. 🤯

Fast forward 9–10 months… ⏳✨ and here she is coming back to tell me exactly how it all worked out.

Theresa returned for assessment day having completed 15 full portfolio clients 💪📖
— all while still working her other swim job.

🗣️ “I’m quite proud of myself that I managed to do that,” she said — and she should be.🌟

It wasn’t plain sailing. 🌊
Delays in setting up her clinic room. ⏳
Finding clients felt scary at first. 😬

Pricing had to be gentle starting at £150 💷 while she built confidence and an excellent portfolio of her work.

But she kept going.🚶‍♀️✨
Kept learning. 📚
Kept asking me questions as they cropped up. 📲

And her growth over the year really shows.💫

She started from scratch, using Facebook to reach new people 📱, offering reduced rates to build experience and trust. 🤝

Slowly… client by client… her technical confidence grew. 🌱

And now? 😍
That confidence shows.

💯 Her consultation-to-booking rate is 100%.

🗣️ “Everybody that’s come through the door has booked,” she shared.

✨ “And most of them have gone on to have more than one treatment.”

Because Theresa trained across brows, lips, and eyeliner, 💄👁️she didn’t need to constantly find new clients. 🔁

🗣️ “They might come in for brows and then say, ‘Oh actually, I’ll do eyeliner next,’ or ‘Let’s do lips too.’ That makes such a difference.” 💕💋

Assessment day was full of happy clients (including Theresa herself having some permanent makeup with me in her lunch break👏) and such a bonus that Theresa got to work on another dream student of mine Deborah who I trained 13 years ago.

As we got to work, Deborah tells us how she is now running 2 dream businesses, high end face painting for corporate companies and performing permanent makeup only for her dream clients who she personally loves to work with. 🔥💄🥰

👩‍🎓❤️💃🏻Always so lovely for someone like Theresa to meet others just like her but a little further down the line.

Theresa’s portfolio has grown into nearly 400 pages 📘📘📘 — super neat ✔️, very detailed ✍️, thoughtful 💭, and deeply considered. 🤍

🗣️ “I’m the sort of person who likes to know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it,” she explained.
✨ “Even though it’s creative, I needed that foundation first.”

Each case study pushed her to think carefully about needle choice, depth, colour, skin, and client needs. 🎯🧠

🗣️ “It made me really think about every part of that client,” she said.
✨ “That’s what gave me confidence.”

Support played a big role too. 🤝

Theresa didn’t disappear once training ended — she stayed connected to me 📲, asked questions ❓, and used my guidance when situations felt new or tricky. 💬

🗣️ “I’ve messaged, I’ve called… and Katy’s always been there,” Theresa said.
✨ “Not just technically, but with how to handle clients too. That’s been massive for me.”

🗣️ “I find my clients are at a similar stage of life to me,” she said.
✨ “They’re not looking for trends. They want something natural. Something that makes them feel like themselves again.”

Theresa’s Assessment day wasn’t just a box ticked. ✔️

It was proof. 💥

She didn’t just hope for change.
She showed up. 🚪
She practised. ✍️
She did the work. 💪

👏🌟🎄🎁 Wow… after one of our busiest years yet, here’s our PMTA 2025 Christmas after-party 💃🏻🦐🔥✨🥂

I always seem to want to start my Christmas the same way — with my dearest friend Nadine.🥳🥳🎄

Before locking up for the New Year, we enjoy a little office celebration. 🧑‍🎨👏🎄

It’s like the end of an era as we finish the final part of her paramedical tattooing course…

Now she’s fully qualified to help women after breast cancer with the most incredible, life-like 3D ar**la reconstruction and scar relaxation & camouflage.🧑‍🎨👩‍🎓🥰❤️

👌👌Nadine is currently opening her new paramedical clinic within the same practice, choosing colour schemes and creating the right space for this type of specialist work.

The most amazing way we can give back using our skills ✨

Nadine and I… we do what we always do when we’re together 🥰

We swap the best gifts 🎁

Finally let our hair down 💃

Pop the champagne (bolly as always 🍾)

Mix a few Christmas cocktails 🍸

Then leave the permanent makeup machines behind and head home to soak up precious time with family.💫🏡❤️

If I didn’t mention it before — I’m just so proud of Nadine. 🥰🥹

Over the last (almost) 6 years, she’s completely changed her life, career, home and finances after I offered to train her…

following the most bonkers once in a lifetime experience for both of us — a life-swap, wealth divide documentary ‘Rich House, Poor House’ # on Netflix & Channel 5 📺✨

I’ve since taught her everything I know about permanent makeup, reconstructive tattoos and how to build a dream business even as a single mum fitting this all in between the school runs.💄📚

And now she finally has the life, the clinic and the awards to prove she truly knows her stuff .🏆

But what inspires me most isn’t the success…

It’s how she keeps showing up behind the scenes through all the things life throws at her — day after day — even when it’s really hard ❤️

We’ve had so much fun building businesses together 🥂

Taking stretch limos 🚗✨

Dining at the best restaurants 🍽️

Celebrating each other’s wins 🎉

But I want to tell you it hasn’t all been rainbows and unicorns — even if that’s what you see in the photos. 🌈🦄

A few Christmases ago, Nadine was holding me together through my worst grief 💔
And this Christmas… I’m holding her through hers ❤️

It’s what friends do.

Life doesn’t give warnings.
We never really know what’s coming next.

And that’s exactly why I love to go all out whenever I can. 🎁🔥✨

People think I’ve lost my mind with generosity…😅

But that’s why I spoil the people I care about. 💝

Why I buy gifts for all of my students who come in throughout December. 🎁

And little treats for clients during the Christmas countdown. 🎄✨

Because even in the middle of sadness…

Giving love and kindness at this time of year still fills my heart with joy. 🔥🌟💃🏻

So this Christmas we light a candle or two, we raise a special glass 🥂to those who can’t be with us. 🙏

And hold extra tight to those who are. 🎁🎁🎁
