A fantastic morning at Falklands Grange Care Home, where Raj delivered a gentle exercise class for the residents. The sunshine and beautiful gardens made it the perfect setting to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. We’re also incredibly fortunate to have access to their gym facilities when the time comes.

We’re thrilled to continue supporting the health and wellbeing of the Falklands Grange community. Thank you for trusting us to make a positive impact. 💙

Grateful for another inspiring catch‑up with the senior team at Blue Angel Care, continuing to build on our exciting partnership around Rapid Response and Rehabilitation.

It’s energising to share ideas, challenges, and successes with likeminded leaders who are all working towards one shared mission: creating a clear, effective pathway that enables our older adults to remain at home, living with maximum independence for as long as possible.

A big thank you to Dariusz Motyka, Zul Mamon and the wider team for such a productive and motivating session.

Looking forward to what we achieve next together 💙

When care and rehabilitation work together, people can feel more supported at home.

We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Blue Angel Care to provide a more joined-up approach for people who need home care alongside specialist physiotherapy and occupational therapy input.

This partnership means Blue Angel Care clients can access Therapies on Thames’ rapid rehabilitation service, helping them rebuild confidence, improve mobility and stay safer in the place they know best.

Whether someone is recovering after illness, a fall, a hospital stay or a change in mobility, joined-up support can make the next step feel clearer. Home care provides essential day-to-day support, while specialist therapy helps identify what may improve strength, independence and confidence.

Together, we can support people with practical, responsive care that reflects their real needs, goals and home environment.

From tears and crutches to swimming, stairs and chasing after grandchildren.

One of our clients recently came to Therapies on Thames a month after knee replacement surgery, feeling worried that their progress was “slow”. After a detailed assessment with Hannah and Raj, a clear rehabilitation plan was put in place, focused not just on exercises, but on real-life goals.

Within three weeks, they had moved from crutches to sticks. With achievable targets, guided exercises and support that was encouraging but firm, their confidence started to return.

Their goals included climbing stadium stairs to attend football matches, swimming again, and keeping up with the grandchildren. Now, they are back doing the things they wanted to do.

A huge well done to our client for their hard work and commitment, and thank you for such a kind recommendation.

As Carers Week continues, we’re recognising the carers who help older people keep making progress beyond each therapy session.

At Therapies on Thames, we work with older adults who may be recovering from illness, injury, surgery, a fall or a hospital stay. Through specialist physiotherapy and occupational therapy, we support people to rebuild strength, improve mobility, adapt daily routines and regain confidence.

Carers are often a vital part of that process. They help encourage exercises, support safe movement around the home, notice changes in confidence or ability, and help therapy goals become part of everyday life.

This year’s Carers Week theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, is a reminder that carers need to be included, listened to and supported too.

This Carers Week, we’re recognising the family carers who play such an important role in helping older people stay safe, confident and independent at home.

Carers Week 2026 runs from 8 to 14 June, with the theme Building Carer Friendly Communities. It is about helping carers feel seen, understood and supported in the places and services they rely on.

At Therapies on Thames, we often work with older adults in their own homes, where family carers are closely involved in day-to-day support. Whether someone is recovering after illness, surgery, a fall or a hospital stay, therapy can help both the individual and their carer feel more confident.

Through physiotherapy and occupational therapy, we can support mobility, strength, safe movement around the home, daily routines and practical adaptations. This can make everyday tasks feel more manageable, while giving carers clearer guidance and reassurance.

Thank you to every family carer supporting someone at home. Your role matters, and the right support can make a real difference.

We were so pleased to receive this lovely feedback from someone who came to us after a fall, following a month in hospital with weakened walking, balance difficulties and neuropathy.

Their hard work, alongside dedicated therapy support, helped them regain confidence, improve their recovery and return home with greater independence.

That is exactly what rehabilitation is about.

Proud to support a team that sets the standard for excellent care! 🌟
Maintaining a consistent ‘Good’ CQC rating takes an incredible amount of dedication day in and day out .

Looking at Florence House Care Home today, it’s remarkable to think about their journey. At one point, the home faced a tough period under a bedblock from the Local Authority and the CQC, holding a 'Requires Improvement' rating. Turning a service around from that level of pressure requires exceptional leadership.
That is why I want to share a massive shout-out and kudos to Carmelia (Manager) and Maribel (Deputy). Their continuous hard work, absolute perseverance, and resilient leadership are precisely what broke through those challenges, transformed the home, and now keep care standards consistently high. 🙌
🤝 Driving Impact Together
At Therapies on Thames, we feel incredibly proud to partner with Florence House and be a part of their ongoing success. Through funded hours, our team provides dedicated physiotherapy and occupational therapy services directly to their residents.
Working closely alongside Carmelia and Maribel, our goal is to help residents maintain mobility, build confidence, and maximize their independence. It’s a true team effort, and collaborating with a management team that genuinely values rehab and resident well-being makes all the difference.
🏡 A Fantastic Environment for Residents
Beyond the great care team, Florence House has built a wonderful physical environment that beautifully supports our therapeutic goals. The infrastructure and facilities are top-notch:
Spacious Communal Lounges:
Vibrant Dining Areas:
Stunning Outdoor Gardens:
Thank you, Carmelia and Maribel, for your continued partnership and for letting us be a part of your inspiring journey! 🥂💙

Recovery doesn’t end when someone leaves hospital.

The first 24–48 hours at home can reveal mobility challenges that weren’t obvious on the ward, from struggling with stairs to difficulties with everyday tasks.

Without timely support, these issues can quickly lead to reduced confidence, falls, or even hospital readmission.

At Therapies on Thames, our Rapid Response Physiotherapy + Occupational Therapy service provides urgent rehabilitation at home, often within 24 hours of referral.

By combining physio, occupational therapy and immediate equipment provision, we help people regain mobility, restore confidence and remain safely independent at home.

Because early rehabilitation can make all the difference.

Sometimes, rehabilitation begins with uncertainty.

After a hospital admission and hip surgery, one family found themselves without a clear plan for the intensive rehab their mum needed. She was not ready to return home, but they knew she needed the right support quickly.

That is where joined-up care matters.

From arranging her move to Bridge Court, to providing eight weeks of intensive physio rehab, occupational therapy input, home assessment and continued support after discharge, every step was focused on helping her regain strength, confidence and independence.

The outcome meant everything: she was walking again and able to return to her own home.

This is the difference that specialist rehabilitation, patience and a clear recovery plan can make.
