About the Role
ONECARE WORLD HEALTH LIMITED is seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Care Workers to join our domiciliary care team in Telford. You'll be providing essential care and support to clients in the comfort of their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Essential Requirements
✅ Must be a driver with access to own car (Essential for community-based care)
✅ Right to work in the UK
✅ Compassionate, reliable, and professional attitude
✅ Good communication skills
✅ Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Important Information
⚠️ Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) NOT available for this position
⚠️ Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing personal care and support to clients in their homes
Assisting with daily living activities
Medication prompting and administration
Maintaining client dignity and independence
Accurate record keeping and documentation
Traveling between client appointments in Telford area

Winter is coming, and I'm not just talking about the latest season of Game of Thrones! As a caregiver, I know how important it is to prepare our lovely elders for the cold weather.

I remember my own grandmother, God rest her soul, used to say, "Bridget, winter is not just about wrapping up warm, it's about being prepared for anything!" And she was right!

So, here are my top tips for preparing our elders for winter:

Get the home winter-ready: Make sure the heating is working properly, and consider getting a professional to inspect the chimney and carbon monoxide detectors. I recall one winter, my grandmother's heating broke down, and we had to call in an emergency plumber. It was a right old kerfuffle!

Prevent falls: Clear those walkways and sidewalks of snow and ice, and use salt or sand to provide traction. My grandmother used to say, "A fall can be a real setback, Bridget. Let's make sure we're careful!"

Stock up on supplies: Keep a winter emergency kit with essentials like food, water, blankets, and a first aid kit. I remember one winter, we were snowed in for days, and my grandmother's emergency kit was a lifesaver!

Stay healthy: Encourage our elders to dress warmly, stay hydrated, and get vaccinated against the flu. My grandmother used to say, "A healthy body and mind are the best defenses against winter!"

Stay connected: Regular phone or video calls can help combat loneliness and isolation. I recall one winter, my grandmother was feeling down, and a regular phone call from a friend really lifted her spirits!

So, there you have it! With a bit of preparation and planning, we can help our lovely elders stay safe and healthy this winter.

Grace Cares Christmas Cheer Fundraiser 🎅🤶🎄

We are reaching out with a plea for you to be a GOOD EGG and pay it forwards.

We are looking to get all the people we support a Christmas gift and take them out for a meal and drink (including transport) in January to fight off the January blues and give them something to look forward to.

This will cost £35 per person and have 25 people to cover.

The dream would be if you could pay it forward and sponsor a person to attend and get a gift - BUT any contribution will be very much appreciated and put into the pot for this.
