⚠️ PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - IMPORTANT MESSAGE ⚠️
I’ve received a number of phone calls regarding the Ride Out that took place in Wolverhampton on Sunday, with people saying, “Your lot were riding stupidly and dangerously.”
I want to make it absolutely clear: that Ride Out has NOTHING to do with We RIDE on bicycles.
We do not condone, support or tolerate antisocial behaviour, dangerous riding, or anything that puts members of the public, other road users, or riders at risk.
We RIDE on bicycles will always promote responsible riding and stick to the rules of the road. Safety must come first, every single time.
I’m fully supportive of people coming together, building communities and setting up their own bike clubs. There’s nothing wrong with riding together, but it must be done responsibly and safely.
To anyone taking part in antisocial or dangerous Ride Outs: your choices are your responsibility. Ride with respect, follow the law, and remember that your actions can affect the reputation of every cyclist and bike club in our community.
We RIDE on bicycles stands for positive riding, community, respect and safety.
Let’s represent the cycling community properly.
Ride safe. Ride responsibly. Ride with respect.
