Hello, I’m Andrea, a Vocal Alchemist & Sound Bath Facilitator based in the West Midlands, UK. Since 2021, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of people through sound journeys that support their healing, and bring relief from physical, mental and emotional imbalance. Sound healing frequencies created with the voice and special instruments, such as the crystal singing bowls, shamanic drumming

, strings, chimes etc, help to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing relief from stress and anxiety, calming the mind, and raising our own vibration to a feeling of peace, clarity and joy. I’m currently studying for my Level 2 Sound Healing Diploma with The Academy of Sound Healing, to deepen my knowledge and continue expanding the ways I can support you. My journey with sound began quite unexpectedly in 2012, when I experienced the transformative raw power of my own voice as an energy clearing tool. This sparked an 8-year very personal deep dive into exploring the alchemical ability of the voice and sound to change the vibrational state of matter, facilitate growth, healing and transformation. I have 25 years experience working with various holistic modalities and natural healing tools. This weekend marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year! If you'd like to do something special in honour of this day, and your own wellbeing, why not join myself, Deb Nicholls and Donna Louise Reiki for our beautiful annual Summer Solstice Cacao & Sound Ceremony at the stunning Ecopsia Retreat near Bridgnorth?

This special 2 hour ceremony includes a ritual cacao ceremony, with the focal point being a beautiful candle lit summer altar.

We will drink the specially prepared nourishing and heart opening ceremonial cacao as Deb guides you into meditation to connect with your heart and set your intentions as you sip your chocolate. (suitable for vegans)

You'll then relax on your yoga mat, comforted by pillows and blankets, as you are brought even deeper on your inner journey through the power of restorative sound healing and ethereal vocals, to balance your energy, relax the mind and body, and release what no longer serves you as the wheel of the year turns.

Through ceremonial cacao and immersive sound, you are safely guided into a space of presence, reflection, and inner listening as you let go and relax.

This is a unique therapeutic Sound Bath experience with Andrea Baines combining crystal singing bowls, layered ambient sound, and ethereal vocal tones to guide you into a profoundly relaxed meditative state.

I never thought I could imagine myself drumming and singing at the top of my voice at the edge of The Grand Canyon. And yet that's what I did earlier this year! ☺️ But in the past I was never confident about my voice, and I still don't call what I do "singing" as such.

As a sound facilitator, I use my voice to intuitively tone and chant along with sound healing instruments to help people return to a place of stillness, peace and harmony within themselves.

But it wasn't as easy as just doing it! I spent many years working on my INNER voice before I could begin to imagine following what was to be my true calling.

Singing or speaking from the heart is something I was always afraid of. It meant being vulnerable, being seen and being heard.
Something I was deeply uncomfortable with.

But I've learned so much along my path from fear and suppression, to freedom of expression. And over the past 5 years I've guided hundreds of groups of people through channelled vocal sound journeys, as well as spending a year studying sound with The Academy of Sound Healing.

And I'm so excited to be teaching a new workshop alongside the lovely Dave Jones from The Awakening of Death this Saturday at Aum Tree Yoga called Awaken Your Voice Through Breath & Sound.

Dave is a public speaker and author, and he's going to be teaching us how our early life experiences shape our voice and keep us blocked in this area. He'll be guiding us through some powerful breathwork techniques to regulate the nervous system so we can feel more relaxed and at ease in our bodies.

In the afternoon I'll be guiding you through some powerful vocal exercises so you can begin to open your voice, feel more connected to your own sound through your heart space, and as a group we'll be practising some beautiful chants.

This special workshop is for anyone who feels block in their voice - for whatever reason! Maybe you want to get into public speaking or singing, or perhaps you just want to feel more relaxed when speaking, more connected to your own voice, speak your truth to a loved one, or speak up for yourself at work.

The day will end with a beautiful vocal sound bath to relax and harmonise your system at a cellular level.

A full-day immersive and experiential workshop for anyone who feels blocked, restricted, or disconnected from their voice.

Through breathwork, relaxation and conscious sound, you’ll be gently guided to release tension in the throat, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with your natural, authentic voice.

David and Andrea bring both lived experience and deep practice, sharing their own journeys from fear and suppression to freedom of expression, and guiding you through the tools that supported that transformation.

This workshop is not about singing or performing. It is for anyone who wants to unlock and open up their voice so you can feel more freedom around expressing authentically from the heart in a more relaxed way.

This is about creating enough safety in the body for your voice to emerge — naturally, honestly, and without force.
