Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a therapeutic technique used in physical and occupational therapy to treat children with motor delay by improving automatic postural responses and promoting progress towards developmental milestones. The goal of DMI is to provoke a specified active motor response from the child in response to defined dynamic exercises prescribed by the therapist. This comprehensive intervention incorporates current research on neurorehabilitation, technologies, and methodologies. DMI stimulates neuroplasticity to facilitate new neuronal connections and development of motor milestones.

Supporting better alignment, one step at a time.

We’re working on improving posture, symmetry, and weight-bearing through the lower limbs. You can already see a more upright position with improved knee and hip alignment.

Small changes in alignment can make a big difference in movement, balance, and overall function.

Half kneelingβ€”more than just a position!
It challenges balance, strengthens core and hip musculature, and builds the foundation for standing transitions and gait.
In this position, the child works on controlled weight shifting, pelvic alignment, and trunk stability while maintaining an upright posture. It also encourages activation of key muscle groups needed for postural control and functional mobility.
Half kneeling plays a crucial role in developing the ability to move from floor to stand, improve coordination, and enhance overall movement efficiency. Through guided facilitation and play-based engagement, we make these essential skills both achievable and meaningful.

Every step is a milestone.
Today we are celebrating a very special moment β€” our little champion has started walking independently and took his very first few steps!
This achievement is the result of his incredible consistency with therapy sessions and home exercises. His determination, along with the unwavering dedication and commitment of his parents, has truly made the difference.
A heartfelt thank you to Elles Angels for supporting his therapy journey and helping make moments like this possible.
So proud of you β€” this is just the beginning! πŸ’› Elle's Angels

🀝 Strategic Partnership Announcement

We are pleased to share that Power Paeds Physiotherapy is now partnering with Just4Children.

Just4Children is a UK charity that provides structured fundraising support for families of children with disabilities and complex medical needs.

Through this collaboration, our families will have access to:
β€’ guidance on setting up fundraising campaigns
β€’ support with donor platforms and compliance
β€’ assistance in raising funds for therapy, equipment, and specialist interventions
β€’ an established charity framework to ensure transparency and credibility

We understand that accessing intensive therapy and specialist equipment can place significant financial pressure on families. This partnership aims to provide practical support and open additional opportunities where needed.

You can learn more about Just4Children here:

We look forward to working together to support our families beyond the clinical setting.
