On Monday we said a very sad goodbye to one of our Wellbeing Colleagues, Amelia, who is moving away from Suffolk.

We had a Farewell BBQ and all shared memories we’ve had with Amelia over the last 8 years.

She’ll be sorely missed by everyone here and we wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavours. We will be doing regular face times with her to catch up and stay in touch.

Thank you Amelia for the laughter, hard work, skills developed, Disney chats and the positive impact you’ve had on the team whilst you’ve been with us. It’s not been easy to say goodbye but it’s been a great opportunity to look back at all you’ve achieved and all the life long friends you’ve made here. You’ve left very big shoes to fill❤️

Thank you to Growing Places for having us at their Open Day yesterday!

A team from our pop up cafe were on hand to serve teas and coffees, with a team from the shop selling some sweet treats!

Emma also supported a few other members of the team to explore the wide range of activities on offer at the open day.

Fantastic day had by all. Thank you to everyone who donated towards refreshments or made a purchase from us ❤️

Looking for ways to reduce your single-use plastic consumption?

We have an extensive range of refills here in store! From Washing Up Liquid to White Vinegar to Rinse Aid. The process is simple:

- Identify the bottle you wish to use and make note of how many ml it holds

- Bring it in to store and let our dedicated refill team know what you would like in your bottle

- Our team will get filling whilst you browse the shop

- Our team will then bring it round to the till for you :)

We also have a small range of cupboard staples to refill like pasta and oats. We look forward to seeing you in store soon!

Amelia’s Tomato Task 🍅

We recently purchased some tomato plants from Realise Futures Nowton Park Nursery

Amelia got to work on Monday to re-pot three tomato plants. Here’s what she did:

💚 Identified a planter
❤️ Filled it with fresh compost
💚 Removed the excess soil from the tomato plants
❤️ Planted them
💚 Topped up the soil
❤️ Added some sticks for support
💚 Gave them a good water

Amelia also taste tested a couple of the tomatoes that were ready for her lunch! She gave them a 9/10!

Po-Tay-Toes! From Poppy’s to plate 🌱 🥔 🍽️

Back in March, a team went to the garden centre to buy some seeds and equipment for us to start growing our own veg and salad.

Ian led the charge with potato growing, with knowledge he has gained from Realise Futures Growing Places where he also attends

He shared the knowledge with our team here and the potatoes were successfully planted!

This week, we harvested them and Wednesday’s Lunch Club enjoyed the fruits of their labour!! 🥳

There’s a few different varieties still growing so keep your eyes and potatoes peeled!

Yesterday the wellbeing team at head office held a Summer Bingo Fun Day so a group of us headed over to take part.

Prizes were won, catch ups between friends were had and Jude and Arran even hosted a couple of rounds and called out the numbers 🥳 Spyro the team mascot came along to give our team some good luck 🤞 🐉

Happy Learning Disability Week 2026! 🥳

This week, our Manager (Hattie) has signed up to take part in Mencap One Big Walk and has roped people in to walk some of the way with her! 👟

Today, 6 of us walked to the local shop to buy some lunch ingredients and discussed the benefits of walking and staying active 🚶perfect weather, perfect company and a tight squeeze getting us all in the shop at once! ☀️
