Help needed! 🙏 As part of my yoga therapy training, I am collecting much needed research towards a project looking into men's mental health and the role that yoga therapy might play.

The project is titled:

""Trauma, Stress and PTSD Among Men Working in Frontline NHS, Emergency Service and Trauma-Exposed Professions: Exploring the Potential Benefits of Yoga Therapy""

Please share my questionnaire (online form link below) with any men you know who work in these types of roles. It should take around 5-10 minutes to complete!

Please follow this link to complete this online, anonymous form:

Thank you is advance for your time and contribitions. They will be hugely appreciated and going towards a very good cause!✨

I would LOVE it if you could take a moment to fill out my little poll. This particular question will very much begin my research project, which is centred around Men’s Mental Health and the experience of trauma/stress/PTSD, and how yoga therapy may allow a client to manage symptoms and be empowered to work towards creating changes that improve physical and mental well-being. It would be fantastic to receive some comments/questions/reasoning following completing this too.

SO… please answer honestly:

“Would you try yoga-based therapy to help with stress, trauma, or mental health?”

I’m interested in having honest opinions from men (and anyone supporting men) for a research project exploring yoga therapy, trauma recovery, PTSD, stress, and emotional wellbeing. Please DM or respond to this post to create discussion.

As part of this post, I’d just like to say that I cannot WAIT to begin sharing the pieces of knowledge and insight I have been gaining as I move into the second half of my training to become a yoga therapist.
Watch this space for more…😊🙏

From the many ancient and modern texts I am reading (currently dipping in and out of ‘The Body Keeps the Score’ by Bessel Van der Kolk), to practices I have experienced/taught and, of course, the wisdom and teachings of various inspirational yoga teachers and therapists 🧘🏻‍♀️.

I am so excited and privileged to be on this absolutely incredible journey and so thank you in advance for all of your support and for showing interest in my content.

Namaste. Jacqui x💜x

Happy International Women’s Day to all of the amazing, inspiring women in my life … what would I do without you!? You know who you are! 👯👯

If you’re free, get on down to my classes this week, which continue to run Monday mornings 9-10.30am (meet at Blenheim green gate) and Monday evenings 7.30-8.30pm (Coach House, Oxfordshire Museum).

This week, we will be exploring finding balance, the concept of looking to find the sweet spot between effort and ease (‘Stira and Sukha’), in order to be doing ‘just enough’ to allow growth and transformation whilst maintaining stability and calm.

As author of ‘The Art of Enough’ says;

“Enough is a state of being and a way of living. With Enough we learn how to live within the natural limits of our lives, and this sets us free to flourish. Enough is resourced by love and abundance. When we believe that we are Enough, we can find freedom and flow that allows us to shine. From a state of being Enough, we can put in place boundaries so that what we do is Enough; we allow ourselves to live and work at a sustainable pace and contribute to making the world a better place for everyone. Enough is a way of living that welcomes the clarity that boundaries can give us and appreciates the renewable power of our resources. Enough gives us the wisdom to follow the natural patterns of growth and transformation that go way beyond always needing more and recognise when we have Enough. Enough connects us to each other and to the planet that we share”

As a ‘doer’, I often need reminding of this fact - to remember it is okay to simply be doing ‘enough’ in order to create space, clarity, boundaries and connection with ourselves, others and our natural environment allowing for gradual growth and transformation. Join me in exploring this in our yoga practice this week!!!

Can’t wait to see you there. DM for any more details 🙏🧘🏻‍♀️

We’ll be greeting the sun in beautiful Blenheim tomorrow morning, welcoming the early days of spring with a gentle walk and nourishing yoga practice—my absolute favourite time of year 🌱

It’s the perfect season for planting tiny seeds of hope and setting small, meaningful intentions as we step into longer, warmer, brighter days ☀️

During our practice, we’ll explore how to create balance between effort (Sthira) and ease (Sukha)—⚖️ Grounding down through the body to find stability, while rising tall and creating space for movement and growth. Together, we’ll embrace gradual change with patience, gratitude, and an open heart 💜

Don’t miss this special opportunity to walk, move, breathe, and simply be—connecting mind, body, and breath. A beautiful gift for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being… what better way to begin your week? 🤷🏻‍♀️🙏🧘🏻‍♀️

DM for more details—I can’t wait to see you there 🙏
