Age UK Wyvern is announcing an important change to dementia support services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

From 31 October 2026, Age UK Wyvern will no longer be commissioned by the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) to deliver the Dementia Wellbeing Service.

From 1 November 2026, a new Post Diagnostic Dementia Support Service will be delivered by Alzheimer’s Society, following a procurement process undertaken by the ICB earlier this year.

Age UK Wyvern would like to thank everyone who has engaged with the Dementia Wellbeing Service and the staff, volunteers and partners who have contributed to its delivery.

We had a fantastic session at our Bromsgrove Dementia Café last week with PALS, who got everyone moving with some brilliant seated exercises! 🙌

It was wonderful to see everyone joining in, having fun and enjoying being active together.

Staying physically active while living with dementia can support strength, balance, mobility and overall wellbeing. It can also boost mood and provide a lovely opportunity for social connection—and every little movement counts! 💙

A huge thank you to PALS for delivering such an enjoyable and uplifting session.

Our Dementia Wellbeing Service Advisors, Tanya Davies and Terry Nash, recently spent the day hosting an information point at Morrisons in Malvern.

Being out in the heart of our local communities gives us a valuable opportunity to speak with people, raise awareness and provide information about the support available to those living with dementia and their families.

A big thank you to Morrisons Malvern for welcoming us and supporting our work within the community! 💙
