World Mental Health Day : Lived Experiences Heard : Real Voices, Real Change.

Today, we recognise the vital role unpaid carers play every day. Caring for a family member, friend or neighbour can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging, tiring and isolating at times.

This World Mental Health Day, we want to highlight the importance of listening to and valuing the voices of carers. Their lived experiences provide powerful insights that can shape better support, understanding and services. When carers' voices are heard, real change can happen.

If you are an unpaid carer, please remember that your wellbeing matters too. Stay connected, reach out when you need support, and know that you do not have to cope alone. We are here to help.

Worcestershire Community Equipment Service Review: Feedback from Unpaid Carers

Worcestershire County Council is currently undertaking a review of the Worcestershire Community Equipment Service (WCES). As part of the review, the County Council would like to hear from unpaid carers who support a family member, friend or neighbour who has received equipment from the service within the last 12 months.

To provide feedback on the Community Equipment Service, just click on the link below to the Worcestershire Community Equipment Service Survey. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

The survey closes on the 16th October 2026.

We recognise that can sometimes be digitally excluded or face barriers for a number of reasons. This survey will help build a clearer picture of digital inclusion across the county.

Worcestershire County Council is excited to announce that the Worcestershire Digital Inclusion Survey is now live, and they'd love your help to spread the word.

Why is it important?

"The survey is a chance for residents across Worcestershire to share their experiences of digital technology, helping us better understand what's working well, where barriers exist, and what support people may need in the future.

Every response will help us build a clearer picture of digital inclusion across the county, so whether you're sharing with service users, volunteers, colleagues, community groups, residents, patients or customers, we'd really appreciate your support."

Do you care for someone with a learning disability?

Adult Front Door Feedback
We have the Adult Front Door team joining our Rights Support for Carers meeting next Tuesday 6th October to answer questions and hear feedback from carers.
The Adult Front Door is Worcestershire County Council’s first point of contact for adults who need information, advice or support around health, wellbeing and social care. The team can provide advice and guidance, signpost people to other services and, where appropriate, refer people on for further support.
We would really welcome any questions, experiences or feedback you may have about the Adult Front Door that you would like us to raise with the team. You can find more information about the Adult front door on the Worcestershire County Council website.

Carers Strategy Refresh Focus Group

As part of the Rights Support for Carers meeting, we will also be holding a focus group for the Carers Strategy Refresh.
As a carer supporting someone with a learning disability, we would really value your views. The focus group will take place on Tuesday 6th October and you can attend either in person or online via Teams. It will run for approximately one hour at 12.30pm and will provide an opportunity to share your views and experiences to help shape the Carers Strategy Refresh.
If you would like to attend or have any feedback , please email Cassie at [email protected] and we will send you the details.
