❤️ Please welcome new Ruby Team member Carrigan!

"Hi 👋🏼 I'm Carrigan, currently a band 5 midwife which basically means I'm recently qualified. I qualified in September of 2025 and initially went to work in another hospital trust before finding my way back to my dream of continuity.

Continuity has always been the goal for me. I love it allows time and space to build deep meaningful relationships with birthing people and their families basically becoming part of the furniture at times. I love that continuity allows me to build trust, understand individuals needs and provide care that is centred around the birthing person and their family. I feel pregnancy and birth is more than just clinical care and continuity allows me to care for individuals in a holistic manner, tailored to them in the comfort of their own homes.

When I'm not working, you'll find me wrapped in a blanket with a good scary horror novel or tangled in yarn while I attempt to crochet intricate blankets."
