These images clearly show how powerful daily SPF and good skincare really are when it comes to ageing.

The first image shows a truck driver who was exposed to sunlight on one side of the face for many years. Over time, ultraviolet light created oxidative stress in the skin, damaging collagen and elastin fibres and leading to deep wrinkles, loss of firmness and premature ageing.

The second image shows a gardener who regularly wore trousers, protecting the legs, but did not protect the hands and arms. The exposed skin developed significant sun damage over time. This demonstrates how sun exposure builds up gradually — often without us noticing.

The third image is perhaps the most striking. This woman consistently wore SPF on her face but not on her neck. The difference clearly shows how daily sun protection can slow down visible ageing.

Sun exposure is one of the main causes of premature ageing — but it is also one of the most preventable.
