Ceri has been a little quieter than usual over the last few months… but we can finally start sharing what she's been so busy working on behind the scenes! 💙
Over the last few months, Ceri has been working hard on supporting and developing our QCF Health & Social Care provision.
There's been paperwork.
There's been planning.
There's definitely been a lot of coffee. ☕😂
And, most importantly, she's been busy getting a new group of learners started on their QCF journey.
We're really excited to start talking more about this side of Altriss.
We're supporting learners across Wales with QCF Health & Social Care qualifications, from those developing their foundations in care through to experienced professionals progressing into leadership and management.
For Ceri and the rest of the Altriss team, though, this isn't simply about gaining a qualification.
We've always believed that good training should make a genuine difference to people and the organisations they work for.
Our QCF provision gives us the opportunity to support learners over a longer period, recognising the skills and experience they already have, developing their knowledge and confidence, and helping them take that next step in their career.
As our QCF Health & Social Care provision continues to grow, we're looking forward to supporting more learners across Wales and helping people develop their skills, confidence and careers within the sector
And seeing our newest learners getting started has made all that work behind the scenes completely worth it. 💙
So, while Ceri might have been a little quiet…
The Altriss Team certainly hasn't!
Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing much more about QCF Health & Social Care with Altriss, including the qualifications available, how we support our learners, and what our QCF provision could mean for individuals and care providers across Wales.

SEPTEMBER TRAINING DATES ARE HERE!

We have a packed training calendar this September, with a wide range of courses available for individuals, care teams, managers and organisations across Wales.

Training is available through a combination of face-to-face sessions in Wrexham and Newtown and live online webinars, making it easier to find an option that works for you and your team.

📌 Can’t make the advertised date?

No problem. If the advertised dates don’t align with your availability, alternative dates can be arranged, subject to a minimum of 4 learners.

And what you see on our September calendar isn’t all we offer!

We provide additional training beyond the courses currently advertised, and we can also develop bespoke training tailored to the specific needs of your organisation and workforce.

Whether you’re looking to upskill your team, meet regulatory or professional development requirements, refresh existing knowledge or arrange training around your organisation’s schedule, please get in touch to discuss how we can support you.

Guess the strange sound👂

Strange Music Day reminds us that music is personal.

The song you skip might be the one that helps someone living with dementia remember their wedding day, calms a person who is anxious, or encourages someone recovering from illness to engage and communicate.

In health and social care, understanding what matters to the individual, including their taste in music, is part of delivering truly person-centred care.

🎼 Whether it's heavy metal, birdsong, whale calls, Gregorian chants or the sound of rain, every playlist tells a story.

Not all music has to sound 'normal' to have a positive effect.

From whale songs and rainforest sounds to heavy metal, classical music and personalised playlists, different types of music can have powerful effects on our health and wellbeing.

Sometimes the "strangest" music to one person is another person's favourite—and that's exactly why person-centred care matters.
