⭐ Team Spotlight: Ryan, Engineering Team Leader

If you haven't had the pleasure of getting to know Ryan yet, let us introduce him…

Ryan has been part of our team since February 2023, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, a genuinely caring nature, and a personality that has made a lasting impression on everyone around him. Originally from Blaenau Ffestiniog, Ryan proudly embraces his roots and has the good humor to join in whenever the Blaenau banter starts. He is fluent in Welsh and has even been known to teach a few words and phrases to those eager to learn.

As the Engineering Team Leader, Ryan is the kind of person you want on your side. His expertise covers a wide range of topics, but what truly sets him apart is his willingness to share his knowledge. If you're new to a piece of equipment, Ryan is there to help. If you're uncertain about how to approach a job, Ryan is there to guide you. Need someone to listen, not just nod along? Ryan is there for that too. One team member put it perfectly: “He goes the extra mile; honestly, the way he puts up with us is a miracle on all accounts."

The entire team appreciates his patience and approachability. He never makes you feel like a burden, whether you're asking a work-related question or simply need a moment to discuss something. One colleague shared a story that encapsulates his character: they accidentally left their bag at work on a Friday with their purse inside. Ryan had already left for the weekend but didn't hesitate to come back and open up the office so they could retrieve it. That’s just Ryan.

Then there’s the fun side—there's plenty of it! He’s funny, down-to-earth, always enjoying a laugh, and his smile is pretty much a permanent fixture. Although he was quite quiet when he first started, he has fully come out of his shell, and the whole team is better for it. If you need proof of his energy, just watch him at the Christmas party—he’s always the first on the dance floor, especially if it’s country music! 🤠

His team describes him in three words: caring, calm, and fun. Those who work most closely with him will tell you he embodies all that and more. He leads with positivity and authenticity, celebrates wins, supports team members through tough days, and makes everyone feel genuinely valued. As one colleague put it: “He’s a fantastic leader, a great colleague, and someone who has a lasting positive impact on the team.”

We couldn't agree more.
