We’re proud to share this recent case study from Life Sciences Hub Wales, highlighting the exciting work taking place at Haulfryn with Sentrix, from Healthcare Matters, to develop and accelerate digital solutions within health and social care

At Haulfryn, we believe technology should never replace human connection, but when used thoughtfully, it can help us provide safer, more responsive and more personalised care and support

As a care home, we’re passionate about being part of conversations around innovation, research and continuous improvement, ensuring that the voices and experiences of people living in care homes remain part of shaping the future of health and social care in Wales and beyond

Progress happens when innovation and compassion work hand in hand 💚

Take a look at the case study below 👇

Healthcare Matters is developing Sentrix, a new virtual care and smart-monitoring solution progressed through the Health+ programme. Now nearing market readiness, the project has gained early interest from local authorities, care providers and partners in Wales.

Today’s the day ☕💛

We’re so excited to be holding our very first Haulfryn Community Coffee Morning at the wonderful Cymau Community Centre.

Preparations have been in full swing, with everybody getting involved yesterday making the most delicious cakes and biscuits ready to share 🍰

At Haulfryn, we truly believe care homes should be part of the heart of the community —
places where people can connect, chat, learn from one another and simply enjoy time together.

Whether you’re a neighbour, family member, professional, volunteer, or just curious about what we do, please do pop in and say hello. We’d love to welcome you for a cuppa, homemade cake, and a friendly chat ☕✨

What an Easter weekend it’s been at Haulfryn! 🐰✨
Full of fun, smiles, and a little bit of Easter magic along the way.

We hope you’ve all enjoyed your Easter with the people who mean the most ❤️

A big thank you to our amazing team, who continually bring the energy, the fun, and the care (and maybe a bunny or two 🐇!) to make it all happen. You’re simply the best ❤️

Today we’re thinking about all the mums we’re lucky enough to encounter through life at Haulfryn 💐🌷🌹🌺🌸🌼🌻🪻

The wonderful mums who live here, who continue to teach us so much through their stories, their humour and their wisdom. Being able to support amazing people, is never anything short of a true privilege 💚

Our team, who somehow balance caring for others at work and at home, often in ways that quietly go unseen. Wether a person is a mum or not, the kindness, compassion and warmth our team show every single day is something truly special and should be celebrated 💚

And the mums who are daughters, sons, grandchildren and friends to the people who live here — the families whose love and dedication we see every single day 💚

Motherhood comes in many forms, and today is a moment to recognise the care, strength and compassion that sits at the heart of it 💚

We also hold space today for those who find Mother’s Day difficult. For those who have lost their mum, those who are missing someone dearly, or for whom today carries complicated feelings. Today we think of you and send nothing but love 💚

To all the mums connected to Haulfryn, thank you for everything you are and everything you give. Happy Mother’s Day 💚

🌼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus | Happy St David’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼

Heddiw rydym yn dathlu ein nawddsant, Dewi Sant, a phopeth sy’n gwneud Cymru mor arbennig – ein hiaith, ein diwylliant, a’n cymunedau caredig.

Today we celebrate our patron saint, St David, and everything that makes Wales so special – our language, our culture, and our compassionate communities.

Mae ei neges yn parhau’n berthnasol heddiw:
“Gwnewch y pethau bychain.”

His message still guides us today:
“Do the little things.”

Yn Haulfryn, rydym yn gweld gwerth y pethau bychain bob dydd – gwên gynnes, sgwrs dros baned, canu gyda’n gilydd, a chynnig cysur a charedigrwydd.

At Haulfryn, we see the power of the little things every day – a warm smile, a chat over a cup of tea, singing together, and offering comfort and kindness.

Boed i ni ddathlu gyda balchder yn ein Cymreictod heddiw ac bob dydd.

Wishing everyone a joyful and proud St David’s Day.

❤️ Celebrating Love in All Its Forms ❤️

Today isn’t just about roses and romance. It’s about love in every form.

The love between partners.
The love between parents and children.
The love of friendship.
The love shown through kindness, care and quiet acts that often go unseen.

Love is checking in.
Love is patience.
Love is laughter around the dining table.
Love is holding a hand when someone feels unsure.
Love is being there for a person — again and again.

On Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate the big love stories and the small everyday ones. The people who make us feel safe, valued and understood.

Here’s to love ❤️

May you feel loved,
May you love deeply.
May you never underestimate the power of the love you give. ❤️

🌻Celebrating 25 Years of Our Journey at Haulfryn🌻

Today marks 25 years since Sandra and Peter took over Haulfryn — and what an incredible journey it has been.

Over the years, we’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting so many wonderful people and families, each bringing their own stories, laughter, and memories that have helped shape Haulfryn into what it is today. Alongside this, we have been incredibly fortunate to work with remarkable team members — past and present — whose kindness, compassion, and dedication sit at the very heart of our home. Something we never take for granted is that some of those who began this journey with us all those years ago are still part of our team today.

Social care has changed enormously over the past quarter of a century — through new regulations, evolving expectations, and significant challenges. One of the most testing periods was the COVID-19 pandemic, which asked more of our team than ever before. During that time, their resilience, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the people we support shone through in the most extraordinary way. It was a powerful reminder of the dedication and heart that defines Haulfryn.

Despite all the changes, one thing has always remained constant: our belief that every person deserves to feel valued, respected, and truly at home.

Haulfryn was founded on strong family values, and those same values continue to guide everything we do today. Now led by Abbie and Clare, Haulfryn remains a family-run home built on trust, warmth, and compassion — a place where people matter, and where care and support always comes from the heart.

As we reflect on 25 years, we do so with immense pride and gratitude. Haulfryn has never been just a care home; it is a community, a family, and a place filled with fun, creativity and love.

Here’s to everyone who has been part of our story — residents, families, and our incredible team. Thank you for trusting us, believing in us, and helping to make Haulfryn the special place it is today 💛
