This client came in for a cover up of some old tattoos that hadn’t faired very well. They originally had great fat short beaks so we did 3 sessions of later to get them to where they were in the second picture and then completed the cover up today. They will brighten up beautifully tomorrow so I’m looking forward to sharing a healed picture ☺️

A little bit about Tattoo removal for you. Here is a great example of frosting from this morning.

Frosting is the temporary, white, frosty-looking layer that appears on the skin immediately after a laser tattoo removal session. It is a completely normal, expected reaction indicating that the laser energy has successfully penetrated and broken down the pigment.

When the laser hits the ink or pigment, it rapidly heats the particles, causing trapped water and gas to instantly vaporize. This rapid release of gas bubbles rises just beneath the skin’s surface, reflecting light and giving the treated area a white, ashy, or frosted appearance.

Frosting is very short-lived. It generally lasts anywhere from 10–30 minutes, though it can occasionally linger longer depending on the depth and density of the ink. You will likely see the most intense frosting during your earlier removal sessions. As the amount of ink reduces with each subsequent session, the frosting will become less pronounced.

So busy having a nice time I forget I’m supposed to be doing the whole social media thing sometimes! Just a quick update! Surgery went well and while I am not well enough to tattoo I did do a quick laser removal session this morning to keep my client on track. Here is the result of only one treatment to an old tattoo. We have done one more session this morning and then we will be ready for our cover up 💪😁
