The Instagram accountants have found their latest thing to turn into content.
Companies House filing changes.
And this time, they’re not even pretending it’s urgent.
It’s more of a very serious, very polished, very “let me explain this to you” moment about what is essentially going to be a tick box.
From 1 April 2028, company accounts will need to be filed through software.
Small companies and micro-entities will also need to file a profit and loss account, but there should be an option to stop that P&L being published publicly.
That’s it.
Your accountant will know.
Your accountant will deal with it.
It will become part of the normal accounts filing process, in the same way your accountant already deals with authorisations, filing options and all the other quiet little admin steps you never see.
Not every update needs to become a carousel, a webinar and a softly lit warning from someone with a ring light.
Sometimes it is just admin.
Terribly dull, I know.
Let the Instagram accountants keep Instagramming.
The rest of us will just file the accounts.
