We look forward to welcoming Igor to present an inspiring workshop around Ecopsychology. This opening activity is inspired by Goethe’s way of observing plants — not simply as objects to be named, but as living expressions of growth, adaptation and relationship. By imagining ourselves or each other as plants, we begin to notice qualities such as rootedness, resilience, flexibility, protection, flowering, rest and renewal. It offers a playful doorway into ecopsychology: seeing human wellbeing as part of the wider living world, shaped by the environments, relationships and conditions around us.
Following the talk and introduction we will take a walk around the neighbouring parks to engage with nature.
Refreshments and a light vegetation lunch will also be provided.
This event is free and open to York residents as part of Millers Yards 20 year celebration.

Healing Meditation at Millers Yard is a space to step out of that for a while and come back to what’s real. Through mindful movement, breath, meditation, and subtle healing support, this class helps you settle the nervous system, clear some of the inner clutter, and reconnect with a steadier place in yourself.

Women’s Health & Paediatric Osteopathy in York & North Yorkshire: Karen Eastwood qualified from the British School of Osteopathy, the UK’s largest and most prestigious school, in 1998. During her career she has worked in a number of clinics and treated patients from the ages of 3 days to 94 years. Karen has practiced a generalist treating musculoskeletal conditions such as lower back and neck pain as well and foot, ankle and hip pain for which she also uses her training in Pilates to support.

Karen’s special interest is in Women’s Health and Paediatrics and she has trained with Professor Renzo Molinari at the Molinari Institute for Women’s Health as well as the Osteopathic Centre for Children gaining the highly prized Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy. Both institutions are world leaders in the Osteopathic Profession.

Karen also undertook the Mummy MOT training and has been supporting women with both pre and post natal health for the last six years. Karen enjoys working with both structural and cranial techniques and has trained with the Rollin Becker Institute and the Sutherland Cranial College.

😲 Did you know that YOUR CELLS CAN HEAR?

We now know that we hear/feel sound with our whole body, not just the ears. There are specific frequencies our ears might not hear but the body does. Listening to music is a whole bodily experience. Huge THANK YOU to North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service
Earlier today there was a serious fire in the car park right next to our building. Thanks to the incredible speed, skill, and bravery of the fire crew, the blaze was brought under control before it could spread any further.

The remainder of this documentary will be filmed outside the Art Gallery, Exhibition Square, 9.45am this Saturday 12th July. If you’re fed up with the disregard and damage that disposable vapes create, along with the lack of responsibility from the sellers then join the movement.
