Mick created this beautiful floral cover-up yesterday for a lovely lady who wanted to completely transform her old tattoo — and just look at the difference! 😍❤️

From a small older tattoo to this gorgeous arrangement of lilies and foliage, designed to flow naturally across the shoulder and completely give the area a new lease of life. 🌸🖤

Cover-ups aren’t simply about putting something bigger over an old tattoo — they take careful planning, placement and shading to make the original disappear into a completely new design. 👌

🎉❤️ WHAT A WEEK IT’S BEEN FOR MICK TOMO! ❤️🎉

It’s certainly been a week of celebrations here at Ruby Arts Tattoo! 🥳

Not only have we been celebrating Mick’s 60th Birthday 🎂🍾, but also an incredible 45 YEARS IN TATTOOING! 🖤🔥

From picking up a tattoo machine as a teenager to building a career that has taken him around the world, winning over 150 awards along the way — and still doing what he loves every day. ❤️

And to top off an already special week, Mick’s incredible career was recognised with a feature in the York Press! 📰👏

After 45 years, thousands of tattoos and generations of customers, Mick is still behind the chair creating, designing and doing what he does best. ❤️

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Mick over the years, travelled to be tattooed by him, recommended him, returned time and time again, and become friends along the way. You’ve all been part of the journey. 🙏❤️

60 years young. 45 years tattooing. And nowhere near finished yet! 😂🔥

This beautiful piece by Mick Tomo was created for a lovely lady using her own cat as the inspiration. 🐱❤️

Mick has captured that gorgeous face and incredible eye in delicate black & grey detail, with the design flowing perfectly along the forearm. 😍

Our pets become such a huge part of our lives, so what better way to celebrate that bond than with something completely personal that you can carry with you forever. 🐾❤️

Having now completed his studies and earned his degrees, he’s getting ready to return home to India — but before leaving York, he wanted something special to mark this chapter of his life. 🙏

The delicate dandelions and hearts are beautiful in themselves, but what makes these tattoos truly precious is the writing — it was recreated from the actual handwriting of the loved one they lost. 🥹❤️
