Introducing Dr Murray..........

Hi, I’m Dr Murray and I have recently joined Front Street Surgery as a GP Registrar. I’m in my second year of GP training and have recently moved from hospital medicine into general practice. I’ll be splitting my time between Front Street Surgery and the Frailty Hub, and I’m keen to develop my knowledge and experience in both areas.

I’m originally from York and went to medical school in Belfast. I’ve previously worked as a doctor in Liverpool and Harrogate before starting my GP training back here in York.

Outside of the practice, I have a passion for the outdoors and am pursuing a career in expedition medicine alongside my GP training. This has taken me to North West Scotland and Northern Sweden this year, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure!

I’m really excited to be joining the team at Front Street Surgery and look forward to getting to know the patients and practice over the next six months.

Introducing……

Hi, I’m Dr Joe Hardwick and I recently joined Front Street Surgery as a salaried GP. I studied Medicine in Sheffield, then worked in paediatrics before completing my GP training. My area of particular interest is children’s health, alongside men's health and joint injections. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop as a GP, getting to know our patients and becoming a valued member of the team at Front Street Surgery.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, sailing as well as spending time with my family and friends -ideally on holiday!

Copmanthorpe patients - Prescription Drop-Off

Tracy and the team at the Copmanthorpe pharmacy have kindly agreed we can have a prescription drop off box in the Chemist. This is to the left of the door as you enter. This is for Front Street Surgery patients only!!!

Please do not ask the pharmacy team about your prescription request, simply drop it in to the locked box. We will collect these throughout the week, but you will need to allow extra time for these to be collected and processed.

The safest and most efficient way to order and manage your medications is through the NHS App. We will be organising some drop-in sessions for help with the app in due course - watch this space.

Yesterday saw our last clinic at our Copmanthorpe branch. We would like to thank our patients registered at Copmanthorpe who have stayed with the practice, we really appreciate it, and thank you for the wonderful messages regarding the care you receive from Front Street Surgery.

It is the end of an era, and we will all look back with fond memories. However we are looking forward to taking the practice forward in to this next chapter, with exciting plans ahead for our main branch.

Copmanthorpe patients - please continue to use our online form to request appointments or ring the switchboard on 01904 704141. A prescription drop off box is now in situ in the pharmacy, further details will follow on a separate post.

If you are driving to our main branch, please park in local streets or Morrisons which has free parking all day. There will be extra spaces available in the practice car park, and we do ask you leave these for patients who need them.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please speak with our reception team, who will be happy to help you.
